Jocelyn's pov
Josh and I were grooving at a happening party. In case you didn't know, my brother is a master of beats, a DJ extraordinaire, and I share his passion for music. He was spinning the tunes, and I was lost in the rhythm, until I spotted one of Josh's pals slipping him a mysterious pill. My mind raced with worry, fearing the possibility of an overdose. Nevertheless, I continued to dance, until my brother abruptly removed his headphones. That moment, I sensed trouble brewing. He ascended the ladder, and without hesitation, I rushed to his side, calling out, "Brother, brother!" Suddenly, he crumbled and tumbled off the ladder. Instinctively, I caught him just in time, urging him to hold on. Determined, I whisked him away to the hospital, where I remained steadfastly by his side. A doctor approached me, asking put me for someone named Jocelyn. I shook my head, revealing the truth that he had indeed overdosed. The doctor swiftly took action, flushing his stomach, and then dropped the bombshell that our mother had arrived. In that moment, I hesitated, contemplating whether or not to let her in. Ultimately, I decided against it, and the doctor, understanding my wishes, departed. I kicked off my heels, climbed into the bed next to my brother, and drifted off to sleep, all the while praying for his recovery.
