Josh and Jocelyn woke up the next morning and got dressed. They went downstairs to have breakfast. Josh asked Jocelyn how her stomach was feeling, and she said it was better but still a little painful. Josh reassured her that it would go away by tomorrow. They both ate a small amount of food and drank water. After breakfast, they packed their things and checked out of the hotel. Jocelyn was nervous about moving to a new town, and Josh noticed something was wrong. He asked if she was okay, and she expressed her fear and upset stomach.

Josh comforted her by reminding her that they would have each other and everything would be okay. They boarded the bus to their dad's house, and when they arrived in town, Jocelyn was scared to look. Josh reassured her and they got off the bus. Their dad called out their names, and Jocelyn exclaimed "Daddy!" "Hello, Jocelyn," Jim greeted Josh as they entered the truck and departed. "So, how was the journey?" Jim inquired. "It was fine," Josh responded. While on their way home, Jocelyn began to feel her anxiety easing. Josh decided to comfort her by rubbing her stomach. Jocelyn found the belly rub soothing and eventually fell asleep. Upon reaching their destination, Josh woke Jocelyn up and they gathered their belongings. Jim showed Josh his room and allowed him to settle in. "Jocelyn, here's your room. I'll let you get settled," Jim said as he closed Jocelyn's door.
A few hours later,
Jocelyn heard a knock on her door. "Hey, Jocelyn dinner is ready if you're hungry," Jim informed her. Jocelyn nodded in response. "Then let's go. I don't expect you to finish it all, but at least give it a try, okay?" Jim said. Jocelyn nodded again. "Are you thirsty? Your mom mentioned you like juice," Jim mentioned. Jocelyn nodded once more. "Would you like some?" Jim asked Jocelyn. Jocelyn shook her head to indicate "no," and Jim replied, "Alright, I'll go get your brother." Jocelyn nodded in agreement, and Jim left to find Josh. Meanwhile, Jocelyn decided to start eating slowly. Jim went to get Josh and informed him, "Hey, dinner is ready if you're hungry." Josh replied, "I'm not hungry." Jim suggested, "Okay, I'll set aside a plate for you, and you can heat it up later." Josh nodded in agreement. Jim returned to find that Jocelyn had left. Feeling disappointed, Jim sighed and disposed of Jocelyn's plate of food. Jocelyn lay in bed, feeling unwell and frightened. Josh entered her room and greeted her. Concerned, he asked if she was okay. Josh could hear Jocelyn's distress and inquired about what was troubling her. Jocelyn expressed her desire to return to their mother's house. However, Josh reassured her that it was best for them to be where they were, acknowledging her homesickness but promising that things would improve. Jocelyn's tears continued to flow. Sensing her need for comfort, Josh invited her to rest her head on his lap. Jocelyn complied, and Josh gently stroked her hair and rubbed her belly. The soothing gestures caused Jocelyn to eventually drift off to sleep. To ensure she wasn't alone, Josh decided to spend the night in Jocelyn's room. He laid his head back and fell asleep as well.
