"Are you alright?" Jocelyn inquires, concern etched on her face as she gazes at Sammy. "I'm alright," Sammy responds, his voice laced with a hint of weariness. Jocelyn tenderly places her hand on top of Sammy's, a gesture of comfort and support. "I'm sorry about your brother," Jocelyn whispers softly, her eyes filled with empathy. Sammy's grip tightens on Jocelyn's hand, his voice tinged with frustration. "Don't be. That's all our mom talks about, and I'm sick of it," he confesses. But Sammy quickly shifts the focus back to Jocelyn, his eyes filled with sincerity. "But that doesn't matter. What matters is you, Jocelyn," he declares. "I really like you," Sammy admits, his words hanging in the air. Jocelyn's face lights up with a smile as she responds, "I like you too, Sammy."
Unbeknownst to them, Josh and Mary steal a glance at Sammy and Jocelyn, observing their happiness. "They look so happy together," Mary remarks to Josh, her voice filled with warmth. Josh nods in agreement. As if drawn closer by an invisible force, Sammy inches closer to Jocelyn. With a gentle motion, he reaches into his pocket and retrieves a delicate locket, extending it towards Jocelyn. "Will you be my girlfriend?" Sammy asks, his voice filled with hope.
Jocelyn nods, her eyes shining with affection, and delicately clasps the locket around her neck. Sammy and Jocelyn share a tender kiss, their hearts intertwining in that moment. As they break apart, they gaze into each other's eyes, their smiles mirroring the joy in their hearts.
Sammy notices Mary and Josh approaching, their presence interrupting their private moment. "Come on, Sammy," Mary calls out, urging him to leave. Jocelyn takes Sammy's hand in hers, refusing to let go as they walk home together. "Thank you for the movie," Mary says, planting a gentle kiss on Josh's cheek. "Thank you again," Jocelyn expresses her gratitude to Sammy, their lips meeting in a sweet kiss.
Sammy and Mary retreat into the house, leaving Jocelyn standing there, watching as Sammy disappears inside. Shortly after, Jocelyn and Josh bid their farewells and head home. Meanwhile, Sammy leaves his house and makes his way to the graveyard, his heart heavy with memories and emotions.
