*2 weeks later*
It's been two weeks since the thing has happened with Alex. I avoid him every time I walk through the hallways or just during lunch. He sits with the guys while I go sit alone.
It was after school and I was waiting around for Austin to pick me up. I laid on the table playing with my phone. I felt someone starring at me, yet again why wouldn't they stare at a weird girl laying in the middle of a bench. I looked around and saw this guy next to me on the next bench.
I sat up and sat next to him. "Hey" I said.
He turned to me and smiled, "Hi"
"Why are you here so alone?" I asked trying to make small talk.
"I could ask you the same." He gave me a sly smirk.
"Sassy, Well I'm waiting for my friend to pick me up." I said.
"Alex?" He asked, My smile disappeared, I sighed.
"No Austin, Alex isn't my friend or anything for that matter....." I started to trail off.
"You want to talk about it?My name is Jay by the way." He smiled. I returned the smile.
"Nah it's okay, not going to give you my problems. My name is Ally. Well I have to go, see you around." I gathered my things and walked to the front of the school.
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket
FROM: Austin
Hey I might be a little bit late I need to stop by the gas station first. Stay safe
To: Austin
Yeah sure just don't take long
I replied and sat on one of the planters. I looked around and saw Alex sitting down smiling at his phone, I felt a bang of jealously. Who can make him smile like that? Ugh, oh how i wish that was me.
I looked away and looked down. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up to see Alex. *HONK* Austin was here.
"I'm sorry, I'm just doing this to protect you." He said, With that I got up and ran to Austin's car. Once I got in he drove off. I felt the tears streaming down my face.
"What did he mean by protecting me?" I said out loud. Austin turned to me.
"Maybe he meant being with Sarah." I shrugged and looked out the window.
~Later that day~
I walked around the neighborhood. It was hot so i was wearing my shorts and a Beatles tee shirt. I looked up at the sky and the sky was turning a orange color. I kept walking hoping this can distract me yet every little thing reminds me. As I get closer to the city I notice a blond hair boy who looks very familiar.
Oh my god i think it is. As I caught up to him, I confimed it. "Riker!" I yelled at him even though he was right there next to me. He flinched yet turned to me
"Ally!" He enfulged me into a hug. "Oh my god I missed you even though it's been a few months. How you been?" He says as he let's me go.
I shrugges, "I've been better" we end up chatting and walking to the local FroYo store. once we enter, Riker goes to order while I go to a table. He comes back with two vanilla yogurts.
"So Ally when you said you've been better what did you mean." he started asking. I took a hold of hi hand that was laying on the table.
"Riker I'll tell you when I'm ready." He intertwined our fingers. I smiled and I could actually feel the blush creeping onto my cheeks.
I heard someone clear their throat, I turned to see Alex with a sad look. I kept Riker's and I's fingers together.
"hello Alex." i say with no emotion in my voice.
"Ally who is this?" he asked like he owned me. ugh I should say boyfriend but what would Riker think.
"I'm her boyfriend." Riker beat me to it. I smiled at him. Alex walked away with a mad, or angry look.
"Thank you R."
I hate lying to Alex. I really do like him. When I'm around him I feel like my hearts going to explode. Don't you ever wish this madness could end. Because that's what I feel.
