(December 14, 1 day until the wedding)
I woke up to the sound of Austy crying. I lifted my head up and saw an empty bed. As I was still in a sleepy state I didn't take to much notice of that. Instead I trudged out of bed and got to Austy's room. There he was in his crib with tear stains on his rosy cheeks. I awed and picked him up, rocking him back to sleep. He just kept crying, I guess he's hungry. I carried the child into the kitchen to prepare his bottle on the way down he wouldn't stop crying so I just kept bouncing him gently. Once his bottle was done, I sat on the couch with him and fed him.
He soon calmed down and went back to sleep. Now, that the sleep was out of my system I noticed that it ten til nine. It was early, yet there wasn't a noise in the house. I looked around and saw a note on the kitchen table. I thought about it for a while. Get up and maybe wake Austy to kill the curiosity or wait a bit and hold in my curious state. I took the risk and stood up carefully and skillfully, so I wouldn't wake the sleeping child. I made it to the kitchen successfully. The note had scratchy writing that belonged to Alex.
'Austin woke me up at 6 in the morning to drag me out of the house. He thinks it's bad luck if I see you a day before the wedding. See you tomorrow for the BIG DAY. love you. -Alex'
I smiled at the note. Then my smile faltered. One more day. My heart beat picked up. Oh god. Tomorrow I get married. I went back to the couch. I carefully laid Austy next to me and I picked up my phone off the coffee table. I dialed Kendall and held the device to my ear. It rang a few times before Kendall actually picked up.
"Hello?" He answered in a groggy voice.
"Hey Blondie, would you please come over and keep me company." I asked sweetly.
"But it's early!" He whined. I smiled at his childish ways.
"You can come in PJ's! Please. Stay the whole day until tomorrow!" I begged.
"Fine, I'll be over in a bit." He hung up.
I though my phone back on the table. I smiled at the thought of getting married. Then again it scared me to all extents. I sat back on the couch and hummed to Austy. He yawned and opened his eyes starring up at me. I smiled at the baby and started to sing quietly to him. He started to wiggle around. I lifted my eyebrow curiously at his moments. I stopped singing and his movements seized. I sang a bit more and he started it up again.
"He's a dancer like his uncle Austin." A voice said from behind me, Kendall. I turned to him and smiled.
"Yeah it seems like it." I thought about it for a bit. "They're not related."
"Yeah but he's seen Austin dance. Austy has learned from the master." Kendall added.
Kendall was dressed in a plain white tee shirt and a pair of green plaid pajama pants, a duffle bag hung around his shoulders and a clothes hanger with a plastic around. Probably the suit is in it. I smiled a bit at his appearance.
"I look silly don't I? Your neighbor gave me the stink eye." He noticed I was starring. He plopped onto the couch and picked up Austy. I suddenly felt a jolt of pain in my side. I squirmed a bit trying to stop the pain. "You okay?" Kendall asked.
"I don't know I just felt a pain in my side." I answered.
"Don't worry. It'll all be better soon, soon you'll wake up." Kendall responded. He smiled and looked at the tv, turning it on. I looked at him confused, but ignored it.
"You're acting weird. Then again when aren't you weird you walking book of knowledge." I looked at him. He just shook his head and smiled, bouncing the squirming child. There was a knock on the door before my dad walked in.
"Hey sweetheart. I brought you food. Alex called me that he was dragged out by Austin. Anyways, I'm going to go check out the wedding set up to see how things are going. See yeah tomorrow sweetheart." My dad said in a hurry. He came to me a kissed my cheek. He then went to Austy and gave him a kiss on the cheek also. Kendall lifted his cheek mockingly. My dad chuckled and patted Kendall's cheek. My dad left the house as fast as he came in.
I went to the table and pulled out a few tacos. I gave two to Kendall and two for me. We sat there in silence, watching tv as we ate. The thing he said was bugging me.
"Kendall, what did you mean when you said 'soon you'll wake up'?" I asked after i feinished my last taco. He gulped at the question.
"Well, philsophically. You know, yuo're getting married, yyou have a son and an amazing fiancee. You'll have the perfect family. You'll wake up from this reality of a barely family to an actual family." Kendall recited.
"Well, like I said you're a walking book of knowledge." I repeated my last sentence.
I gave up on trying to figure out the other thing Kendall was trying to say as he hesitated to answer my true question. There a slight knock on the door. I went to go see who it was, Alex's parents.
I opened the door wider, letting them in. "Hey what are you guys doing here? Weren't you staying at the hotel for the day?" I asked as I sat with them on the couch.
"We were but we wanted to say our goodbyes. Tomorrow will be an eventful day. May not be able to say our goodbyes as we leave right after the reception." Momma Constancio said.
"Yeah sweetheart. We just wanted to wish you a happy life and hopefully we'll seed each other soon." Papa Constancio added.
"Aw that's sweet of you guys but I'm pretty sure we'll see each other during the reception." I commented.
"Well just to be sure." Momma said. "Well, we better get going."
"Yeah we have to get going. The tux and dress should be done at the cleaners. It has been awhile since an occasion has occurred." Papa added.
"See you tomorrow baby." The Constancio's left. I sat there a bit.confused.
"Uh, don't you think they came and left very quickly?" I asked Kendall. Now Kendall looked confused with me.
"Uh, no. They were here for an hour and a half." Kendall said dumbfounded.
"That doesn't seem right." I said starring at the clock. 5:47pm. "How is that even possible? I just woke about an hour ago."
"No, we've been on this couch starring at that tv for the past hours. Are you sure you're okay?" Kendall asked looking at me a bit scared.
"Yeah I feel like today has gone by in a blink of an eye." I sighed.
"Yeah a year and a half can feel like a few." He replied. I didn't question his sentence of knowledge.
Kendall had ordered a pizza and I fed Austy. Time actually flew by as the sun had went down and Austy was in his bed catching his regular timed sleep. I cuddled up to Kendall and closed my eyes. I was captured by my mind sending on the weirdest places called dreams.
