I walked into the kitchen, hoping to brew up some coffee. The smell of freshly brew was invading the air. Alex had a cup of coffee in hands and was starring off into the distance. I stood right next to him and stared at him. "She left. Sarah left." I couldn't tell if his tone was happy or relieved.
"What do you mean she left?" I asked a bit confused. I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat right next to him.
"She just told me she gave up and just walked out of the door without another word." I looked at him with a bit of shock.
"That's not normal, is it?" I asked. Somethings are too good to be true.
"No it's not but don't question it." He pulled an arm over my shoulders and placed a kiss on my cheek. I leaned into his touch. We sat there for a few minutes before there was a shrill cry coming from upstairs. "I'll get him, don't worry." Alex murmured. We separated and he walked up stairs. I pulled out my phone form my pocket and called Kendall.
"Hey, Blondie. Want to go shopping?" I asked happily into the phone after the third ring.
"Can I say no?" Kendall replied a bit annoyed
"No you can not mister. We're going shopping. No if's or but's. I'll be over in about 15 minutes." Before he could object, I hung up on him. I jumped up off the stool and ran upstairs. There Alex was changing him into a new shirt I bought him. It was black and in white letters it said 'I'm in the band'. "Hey Alex. You wouldn't mind taking care of Austy for a few hours? I'm going shopping with Kendall." I announced.
"Yeah, of course I'll take care of him." He gave me a glance of recognition. "What are you going to buy? Do you need money?" He asked as he pulled the baby up against his chest.
"Nah, I don't need money. I don't know, Maybe a wedding dress or some heels. The world will never know." I teased a bit. Alex shot me a playful glare. "I'm going to go pick up Kendall. See yeah later babe." I stood on my tippy toes and gave him a peck on the lips. I turned away and grabbed my purse off the couch before exiting out of our house. I hopped into my car and began my journey to Kendall's apartment. As I pulled up to the blue apartment complex I saw Kendall already outside with his hands in his pocket and head hanging down, letting his dirty blond hair cover his face. I pulled up right in front of him. He lifted his head up to reveal tear stained eyes and colorful tears, metaphorically of course. He opened the passenger door and kept a vacant look.
"Ken?" I asked a bit worried as I stretched an arm across and placed it on his shoulder. He whimpered a bit before letting out a quiet sob. "Kendall, let it out. Its okay to cry." I said in a sweet voice. He broke after my words. I pulled him into my arms, the best I could. Whimpering, sobs and small sighs escaped his lips every once and a while. Once they subsided he pulled out of my arms and started wiping away any remaining tears.
"Thanks for uh, letting me-" I stopped him before he could continue.
"Its okay. Everybody needs to cry." I rubbed his arm once before pulling off. Knowing Kendall, he wouldn't want to talk about whatever was bothering him. We drove for a bit until we were near the outskirts of town. There was this dress store there. All kinds of dresses, each were very beautiful. I pulled up to the small shop. I got out of my car and Kendall did the same.
"Thanks for not asking what was bothering me. I really appreciate it." He said as we entered the building.
"Don't sweat it. I know you wouldn't like to talk about it." I shot him a small smile which he returned. We entered the dress shop ans was met by an old lady.
"Hello sweet heart. What are you looking for this fine evening?" The old lady started talking. She was short, curly white hair on her head, a long pink dress and a bright genuine smile.
