Record Store - Calum Hood

Ch.5

Me and Calum spent that whole day cuddling and eating pizza. It was a great, relaxing, rainy, amazing day. But once 5:00 came along we knew it was time to get ready for work. Calum headed back to his apartment and I started getting ready in mine. Once we were both done, we headed down to the record store, hand in hand, and walked in.

"Hey Stacy." I said. (Stacy is Joes wife.) "Where's Joe?"

"Oh you kids didn't know?" She said.

"Didn't know what?" Calum said worryingly.

"Joe is... in the uh, um Joe is in the hospital." She said sighing.

"What?" I replied sadly hugging Calum, tears in my eyes.

"You kids can visit tomorrow the nurse told me."

"But what happened to him?" I said still hugging Calum.

"He's been having some heart issues and he got sent to the hospital last night. The doctors don't know if he will have a chance of surviving." She explained.

"Excuse me." I said running upstairs and crying.

"Sophie!" Calum yelled running after me.

I was sat in the corner crying everything out. I couldn't bare to not see Joe here everyday.

"Sophie." He said softly and came to hug me. "It's okay. Shhh."

"It-it's not o-okay I-I." I sobbed.

"Shh wanna tell me later?"

"Yes please."

"C'mon let's get to work and when we come home we can stay at your place, that okay with you?"

"Yes, thank you."

"Anything for you." Cal said kissing me.

We both ran back downstairs and got to work immediately. I put some records in boxes, Calum put records away also and at certain times I just stood and stared at him for a bit. I just wanted to kiss and hug him right there. He looked so gorgeous and concentrated and wow. He looked amazing. I'm glad to call him mine.

Once the day was over Stacy locked up and me and Cal headed home.

"So Sophie do you want to talk about it?" Cal asked walking into the apartment.

"Yes please." I said sitting down on the couch, while Calum sat across from me. "Here we go." I said grabbing his hands.

"I was so upset because Joe was like a father to me. He was always there for me, unlike my actual parents. Ever since I turned 13 I went into that store everyday to get records and see Joe. He asked me about my day, if I needed help with anything, did I make any new friends, he was basically like a parent to me. I never did stop coming here, I was always here from after school till dinner. Then when I turned 18 a year ago Joe helped me move out and into the apartment. I just always thought of him as a part of my family. Y'know?"

"Wow." Cal said he leaned over and hugged me tight. "We can go visit him tomorrow yeah?"

I just nodded and hugged Calum tightly. "Thank you for listening." I said.

"Anything for you. I'd do literally anything for you." He said.

I didn't say anything instead I had tears in my eyes from the story and from that. I just leaned over and kissed Calum. Now this kiss was perfect. And I just might like to say.

Calum Hood, I think I'm in love with you.

-Calums POV-

After Sophie told me the story, I just wow. It was amazing to know that Joe was like a family member to her.

"Thank you for listening." She said.

I nodded and said: "Anything for you. I'd do literally anything for you."

She had tears forming in her eyes and she leaned over and kissed me. I kissed back and wow. This kiss was amazing. Perfect might I say.

Sophie I think I'm truly in love with you.
