Chapter 5: Robots in the Sky

The Time Force members were in the cockpit of their jet and they began to fly into battle. They equipped the jet with missiles and rockets to attack position and went off to find Mrs. Grunion in her secret lair. Meanwhile, Mrs. Grunion was out of jail on parole, trying to construct her lair in the cold caves of the Alps. She said to her robots, "We have to get this lair constructed in time so we can spawn my sinister plot together. And we'll be ready." It took up to six weeks to get the lair constructed inside the caves of the Alps. The Time Force members had to keep flying across the sky to reach the Alps where Mrs. Grunion was constructing her lair with her army of big robots.

Back in Mrs. Grunion's lair, she was assigning her robots to build a flagship plane that would use powerful weapons and explosives. "Robots, get the flagship plane constructed. You'll divide into three groups. Group Alpha, you'll handle getting the parts. Group Beta, you'll handle assembly. Group Gamma, you'll handle arming the plane," she said to the robots. "Any questions?" There was a long silence. "Good," she said. "Let's get to work!" And the construction of the flagship plane had just begun!

The robots were gathering all the parts they needed, assembling the flagship plane, and arming the plane with weapons and explosives. After another solid three to five weeks of construction had commenced, Mrs. Grunion was ready to pilot the flagship plane for takeoff. "Robots, get in and we will be ready for the battle in the sky!" And so, the robots did, and they got into their positions on the flagship plane piloted by Mrs. Grunion. The flagship plane took flight quickly.

Back in the Time Force jet, the Time Force members sat in the cockpit, worrying. "Penny, what's our trajectory?" asked Margo. "95% certain we are still doomed," replied Penny. "And the other 5%?" Margo asked. "Adventuring glory like no humans have ever seen before," Penny answered. The others agreed with Penny's statement. And so, they continued flying in the Time Force jet while trying to find Mrs. Grunion, who escaped from jail and into the Alps to construct her lair. When they flew to Europe, later that day, Sherman indicated that Mrs. Grunion in in reach. How do I know this? Because he said, "Mrs. Grunion is in reach! Battle stations!" And so, the Time Force members went on to get the jet in battle mode. "Commencing attack pattern Beta," said Mrs. Grunion. Mrs. Grunion's flagship plane started attacking in the first attack pattern and then the Time Force members started battling the robots.

Sherman loaded the cannons with dynamite and was preparing to fire the cannons full of dynamite. "This should do the trick!" he said as he stood. And he fired the cannons, shooting a lot of dynamite onto the robots' planes as fast as he could. "I gotta keep firing the dynamite at the robots!" Sherman cried out. And Margo said, "Let's get this battle on with it!" After the first attack pattern was destroyed by the Time Force members, Mrs. Grunion became very furious. "Nooooo!" she cried. "Reloading battle system!" "Good work, agents, keep it up," said Margo. And Mrs. Grunion said, "Commencing attack pattern Gamma." Just then, the faster robot planes started going into battle. "Lots of fast enemies detected!" cried Penny. "Make sure you have orange cannons to deal with them," replied Antonio. And so, Margo and Sherman loaded the orange cannons with dynamite and started taking down the second attack pattern. The cannons started firing dynamite nonstop and were taking down the second wave of planes controlled by the robots.

"Incoming! Brace for impact!" yelled Sherman. "It's all up to us!" Margo yelled back. And so, the second attack pattern was still being taken down with caution. With a lot of robot planes taken down and the second attack pattern destroyed, the Time Force members were making good progress. "Defenses holding," said Antonio. And the computer on the Time Force's jet said, "Affirmative. Your defenses are holding very well." The Time Force members made slow progress while trying to make their way into the third attack pattern.

"Commencing attack pattern Zeta," said Mrs. Grunion. The third wave of robots flying in planes started attacking the Time Force members. "Find something powerful," commanded Margo. And the Time Force members used laser cannons to deal with the robots that could take a lot of damage. The cannons fired nonstop and more robots were being taken down. More robots were taken down, and the Time Force members kept on firing. While the third wave was still being sent out by Mrs. Grunion, they had to keep firing cannons. "Keep firing those cannons!" commanded Margo. "We have to take out Mrs. Grunion's robots and sink her flagship plane in time." "Sounds good," said Sherman. "I'm in," added Penny. And so, the four humans worked together to take down the robots' planes in the third wave, and then the third wave was destroyed just in time.

"Defenses holding!" Penny said happily. "We'll have to take out more enemies and I'm detecting a swarm of them," Sherman said in a serious tone. "Commencing attack pattern Omicron," Mrs. Grunion said. "Look out! More enemies!" Sherman cried out. "Get ready! I'm detecting a swarm of red, blue, and purple robots in their planes," said Margo. The Time Force members continued firing the cannons at the robots, and Mrs. Grunion's robots started attacking the Time Force Jet.

As they made slow progress on defeating the fourth wave, the Time Force members had to keep themselves back on their feet again. The fourth wave sent a shiver down Margo's spine and she was nervous as she waited for the right moment. Then, Antonio said, "We'll keep trying to take out those robots as soon as we see them." Margo felt relieved after hearing what her true love said for the moment. Margo and Antonio loaded the blue cannons and started firing them just in time. "Firing!" said Antonio. The blue cannons fired grenades at the enemies, and they started getting caught in the explosions for a triple combo. The cannons were still firing, and Penny said, "Incoming fast enemies!" Sherman and Penny fired the orange cannons to take out the orange robots in their planes. Then, Sherman said, "Margo, how long until this wave is destroyed?" "Five minutes," answered Margo. And after five minutes of defeating the fourth wave, the Time Force members got the green cannons ready on their jet.

"Error! Reloading battle systems!" Mrs. Grunion shouted. She was very cross. "Good work, agents, keep it up!" Riley Andersen said on Margo's headset as she was directing the Time Force. Then, the Time Force members had to keep up the good work while holding their defenses. "The director needs us to keep defeating Mrs. Grunion before it's too late," Sherman said. Margo was deeply shocked.

The Time Force jet had to get green cannons loaded and then the members had to detect a swarm of green robots. "Getting the final attack pattern ready," said Mrs. Grunion as she was preparing for the final attack pattern. "We are not just giving up! We're dedicated to fighting crime on a global scale!" said Sherman. "We're the Time Force! And nobody breaks the force!" Margo replied. And then, the final attack pattern was ready in time. "Final attack pattern ready. Surrender now or die!" Mrs. Grunion shouted angrily. Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny were furious. They put up their defenses higher and would not surrender their task. "Commencing final attack pattern Omega," Mrs. Grunion said. "Get ready!" said Margo. "I'm detecting a swarm of heavy robots." And the Time Force members got prepared to take down the final wave. They had to fire cannons at the robots in red, orange, green, blue, and purple.

More planes were being destroyed, and the Time Force members were trying extra hard to get them taken down. "Keep those robots pinned down," Penny said sternly. And then, all of a sudden, the fifth wave was destroyed just in time. "Noooooo!" Mrs. Grunion shouted angrily. "Error! My waves are defeated again!" The Time Force members looked on and Mrs. Grunion got away into the Alps again.

"Penny, analysis?" Margo asked. Then, Penny said, "We are...really...awesome at this!" Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny became happy now that they'd tracked Mrs. Grunion's location in the Alps. "I found Mrs. Grunion's location!" Margo declared. "She's in the Alps, getting more powerful robots!" "Wow, that quickly. We'd better report this to the director," Antonio remarked. And so, the Time Force members went on to find Riley Andersen back at the Headquarters.

Back in the Time Force Headquarters, there was a meeting going on that evening. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Grunion?" Riley Andersen said. "Hadn't we eliminated her as a suspect after the whole sky battle incident?" "Yes, but there has been a new development," said Sherman. "And I'm telling you, this is the lady. You need to arrest him immediately and her deviously charming son. I think the son is the mastermind! There's a devilish look in his eyes and I don't like it!" "Yes," said Riley. "But I don't really see any evidence." "Evidence, schmevidence," said Sherman. "I go with my brain, and my brain tells me that this lady is Mrs. Grunion. Lock her up, lock up the son, don't forget about the son. The kid gives me the creeps!" There was a long silence. Then, Margo spoke up to the director. "But, on the last flight to tracking the location, we discovered traces of the robots attacking us in the sky," she said. "Interesting," the director said. "Yeah, and you know what happened?" asked Margo. "We nailed this battle in the sky in defeating the robots. Amazing, right?" "Yes," said Antonio. "I do believe that we tracked Mrs. Grunion's location in the Alps." Sherman and Penny were deeply shocked when they heard Antonio's statement. They hoped they would get this right so they could get on with the mission that must continue. "We have to find a way to make our way across the Alps so we can reach the villain," Antonio continued. "If we find Mrs. Grunion and her mighty robot minions, we need more soldiers in the Time Force to deal with them."
