Chapter 20: Sherman and Penny's Date

At last, the Time Force members were waiting a couple of hours to getting back on track for their mission to saving the world from the master criminals trying to conquer it and ruin it. Sherman and Penny had to find a way to get back together again so they would make a preparation. "Penny, I think we should think of something we might want to consider," remarked Sherman. "And that is?" Penny said, "I think we can go on our very own date if that can be arranged by both of us," said Sherman. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," agreed Penny. And so, the two humans went on to finding their way across their bedroom in the two-bedroom apartment to find their date night clothing so they would begin dating each other for the night they would go on their date.

It was long into the late afternoon when Sherman and Penny were getting ready for their date night. Sherman chose to wear a tuxedo while Penny chose to wear a red dress with a pink, long-sleeved shirt. Then, the two white humans began to kiss each other on the lips while they were in love with each other at the same time. They got ready for their date, and Mr. Peabody arrived in his limousine where he was with Paul and Patty Peterson, his friends at the school building. When it was time for Sherman and Penny to go on their date, Mr. Peabody, Paul Peterson, and Patty Peterson came with them.

When they got to the downtown diner, Sherman and Penny felt slightly nervous after a bit of heading inside the downtown diner. Mr. Peabody guided Paul and Patty Peterson inside before Sherman let Penny in before he came in after her. So, Mr. Peabody took a booth with Paul and Patty Peterson, and Sherman and Penny took their seats at a different table, about closer to the one that Mr. Peabody was sitting at with Penny's parents. "This is our moment, Penny," said Sherman, once again trying to speak softly, "We must stay together so we can enjoy our date night." "Yes," said Penny, "I always wanted to be with you on this date night." Sherman and Penny were glad to date each other for the first time.

Sherman and Penny felt much better now that they started dating each other for the first time since their first year at the New York City School of Performing Arts. They spent their evening sharing their new experiences with each other. As the sun set across the city, Sherman and Penny were ready to order. After getting exactly what they asked for, Mr. Peabody, Paul Peterson, Patty Peterson, Sherman, and Penny were relieved to have what they ordered. Then, Mr. Peabody said, "Nothing is as beautiful as an elegant date night between Sherman and Penny. Why can't they be so simple?" "To be honest, Mr. Peabody," Paul Peterson said, "Sherman and Penny deserved to be together once in a while. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?"

"No wonder our daughter and your son are in love," Patty Peterson said, "and this would not go wrong at all." "I know, right?" said Mr. Peabody. "I had a girl once, and she was a nice cat that I started to fall for. She was a Russian Blue cat that I started to fall in love with." "How could a dog and a cat fall in love?" Paul Peterson asked. "There's a difference, I can tell," Mr. Peabody replied, "a dog is one thing and a cat is another. It's that simple."

Meanwhile, Sherman and Penny were enjoying their time, staying heart-warmed and in love with each other. After the date night was over, Mr. Peabody filled up the limousine and brought Sherman and Penny back to the Time Force Headquarters. Then, Mr. Peabody went to his penthouse while Paul and Patty Peterson went back to their house. Now, Sherman and Penny were happy to be back in the Time Force Headquarters after their date. "This was a good date," said Sherman. "So that means..." said Penny, and Sherman helped her finish her sentence with, "I will plan for the next one?" "Yes," said Penny, "And I will plan the same thing with you." Sherman and Penny began to hold hands while facing each other, lovingly. Five inches. Four inches. Sherman hoped he was doing this right as he closed his eyes just enough so that he could at least make our where his lips were heading. Three inches. Two inches. Penny believed she had to do this right as she felt his breath gently cascade over her lips as she closed her eyes just enough and she willed herself to touch his lips with her lips. One inch. Soft peach met cream as their lips touched and for a moment, there was nothing but the kiss.

Sherman and Penny were not sure how long they were kissing each other on the lips, and they hoped to Mr. Peabody's light that it was one great kiss that, but then they broke apart and opened their eyes. Sherman and Penny found themselves blushing in a deep shade of red, like they were embarrassed about their kiss. "I love you, Sherman," said Penny. "I love you, too, Penny," replied Sherman. And then the two white humans kissed each other on the lips again, and they dropped off to sleep in their bedroom for the night.
