Chapter 27: The Temple of Mystery

"Well, we're here!" announced Margo as she spotted the way up to the top of the halls of the temple of mystery. "It's clear of what we need to do next." "What comes next for us?" Sherman wanted to know. "Well, we must solve all the puzzles inside this temple so we can get a good shot at taking down Mrs. Grunion and her army of robots," replied Margo. The Time Force members went off to the chambers to solve all the puzzles to retrieve the red robot ruby.

They went into the first chamber to solve puzzles hidden inside of it. "Mrs. Grunion has spawned a sinister plot to turn everyone into robots using the red robot ruby, and we're here to take the ruby out of the wrong hands," said Sherman. "Oh, yeah, I might have known it," replied Margo. "Listen, I ain't happy about that red robot ruby being dangerous in the wrong hands, so we have to solve all the puzzles together so we can take back the red robot ruby and then place it in the museum. This place is dangerous as it is." "It's not safe?" asked Sherman. "There's no part of Mrs. Grunion's venture that is safe, Sherman, take it from me," said Mr. Peabody as he arrived at the temple. The first puzzle to be solved inside the temple was revealed to be a switch-flipping puzzle. And so, Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny came across the first set of switches that needed to be flipped.

"It looks like some sort of set of switches that need to be flipped," Penny said as she analyzed the switches. So, one by one, the Time Force members started flipping the switches to get to the next part of the puzzle to be solved. Then, once all the switches had been flipped, they went onto the next set of switches that needed to be flipped. "This is a hard puzzle and I don't want you setting off any traps," said Margo.

And so, they found the next set of switches that needed flipping and the Time Force members went on to flip the switches on the next part of the puzzle. "We're making good progress on this puzzle getting solved," said Margo. "Good focus." And Antonio replied, "We need to solve this puzzle so we can unlock the door to the next chamber, and THEN we can make our way to the next chamber to solve another puzzle." It wasn't too long before the Time Force members made their way towards the next set of switches that needed flipping. They flipped the switches correctly, and then they got another door opened up again.

Then, they came to another part of the puzzle that needed to be solved. They found another set of switches that needed to be flipped completely, and so they made good progress with flipping the switches by flipping them in the right order to get another door open. "Almost done with this puzzle," said Margo. "Steady now." At the last set of switches in the chamber, the Time Force members had to get the switches flipped right away, one by one.

After the puzzle was solved, the second chamber was opened up completely. "It looks like we opened another chamber inside this temple," said Penny. "Now to be certain," said Sherman, once again trying to keep his cool, "I firmly believe that we must find the second chamber on our way out of this chamber." And so, the Time Force members found their way out of the chamber and back to the main hall of the temple. Then, they came into the second chamber on the other side of the halls of the temple. Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny could not believe their eyes when they saw what the puzzle was like. The puzzle was revealed to be where the object is to battle all the snakes while dodging the darts that are firing at you. Then, Sherman said, "Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes?!" "I wouldn't worry too much about these snakes," said Margo, "They're led by an anaconda, which we must destroy in time." And so, the Time Force members began to solve the puzzle together.

So, the Time Force members started battling each of the snakes inside the chamber while trying to avoid the darts firing at them. As they did, Sherman started blasting the snakes with dynamite while Penny electrocuted them with her laser blaster. Sherman and Penny were back-to-back while trying to hold their weapons in their hands. "Open fire!" Sherman shouted, and then Sherman and Penny started firing the dynamite and the lasers at the snakes, blasting and electrocuting them to death. Just as Sherman and Penny saw a snake trying to bite them onto their butts, they took out the snake that was about to paralyze them at once. Margo and Antonio had to use their secret weapons to defeat the snakes by using the freeze-ray and the flamethrower. With a lot of snakes frozen and burnt down, the anaconda emerged to take out all four of the Time Force members. Then, the Time Force members gasped. The anaconda was about four tons and too heavy to be handled by the four of them. Just then, Mr. Peabody, Elsa, and Anna bustled in. "This is a problem, too heavy for the Time Force members alone," said Mr. Peabody. "We need more people to take down that heavy anaconda." All at once, the members of Big Hero 6 and the elite officers came by along with Kristoff and Olaf for the mission.

"It's up to us to defeat the evil anaconda," said Elsa. "We'll finish solving this puzzle strong by defeating the anaconda in no time," replied Anna. And so, the Time Force members had to find a way to defeat the anaconda and blast it enough times for it to be blown to smithereens. Then, the Time Force members started to take on the anaconda with their weapons and explosives as quick as bunnies. "Take out that anaconda," said Mr. Peabody.

And so, Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny began working together to get the anaconda destroyed, and the members of Big Hero 6 fought alongside them. Baymax used all of his strength to fire rockets at the anaconda. Antonio grew on all of his strength to stop the driving force of the giant boulder. Blasted backwards, the anaconda smashed into the wall of the chamber. Then, Penny blasted the giant boulder with her laser blaster and the Sherman and Margo used the rocket launchers to fire into the anaconda's mouth. KAPOW! The anaconda was destroyed just in time and the Time Force members had solved another puzzle just in time.

Just then, everyone heard a strange rumbling sound from the halls. The door to the third chamber opened up at the staircase inside the temple of mystery. "Both puzzles have been solved, and now we're ready for the next part of the mission," said Margo. "Now let's get on with this next part of the mission and turn the tables on Mrs. Grunion so we can put her behind bars," said Antonio. "Sounds good," said Sherman. "I'm in!" added Penny. And so, the Time Force members went up the stairs to get to the third chamber located up at the top of the temple.

At the top chamber inside the temple of mystery, the Time Force members saw a giant lake full of slime and they were not sure how to get all the way across that slime. They had to flip the four switches correctly so they would get around the slime and get across the chamber. They found the next lift that would take them up to the next area. And then, Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny took the lift and went up to the next part of the chamber in the temple.

When they got to the observation deck of the top chamber inside the temple, they saw that an army of robots was guarding the entrance to the gauntlet without letting them get inside of it. Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny were furious! "Stop that noise!" bellowed Mr. Peabody. "They won't let us in!" hissed Sherman. Not long ago, the robots had prevented the Time Force members from getting in the gauntlet.

The robots were hesitating at first, but then they got destroyed by the Time Force members in one shot at once. After destroying the robots in one shot, the Time Force members proceeded on with getting the door opened up to the gauntlet just in time. There might have been something in the gauntlet that would make the best decision for them to take on Mrs. Grunion and her robot army. They got into the gauntlet and started heading for the villain.

There was slime all over the area below the gauntlet, and the Time Force members had to watch their feet, because there were traps everywhere. "Careful," said Antonio. "Watch your step and don't set off any traps." So, the Time Force members had to get through the gauntlet as carefully as they could, and they were trying to make sure not to set set off any traps that would paralyze them at once. "We're sure to be close together for as long as we need each other," said Penny, "we'd better be." The Time Force members had no idea they were about to get to the end of the gauntlet before the giant boulder crushes them at the same time. They had to make sure they would make their way towards the end of the gauntlet before the giant boulder would take them out. They reached the end of the gauntlet, and the giant boulder trapped them inside the end of the gauntlet. "That was close," said Margo. "Now we need to get on with the mission to complete," said Sherman. "Trust me when I say that we are the only ones who can stop the evil Mrs. Grunion and her robot army."

The Time Force members reached the lift and it took them up to the area where the coal chute would take them. They saw that the gauntlet ended where the final battle arena would take them, and they kept looking carefully where it was. "Cinders and ashes!" cried Sherman. "That coal chute is too slippery for us to deal with!" "Don't worry," laughed Margo. "This chute won't make us slip and fall at once. We have to finish off this mission strong." And sure enough, they were able to get down the coal chute and make their way towards the final battle arena.
