PREVIOUSLY ON TIL THE END:
"...I opened the door and a dead girl in a uniform lunged at me..."
"...She had a bite mark on her arm..."
"... Shit! ...."
"... I don't want you to turn into a walker..."
"... "Walkers"? Is that what you're calling them?..."
"... I like it..."

\\\\\/////It was now the next day after the walker incident. I was sitting down with Glenn, packing a backpack with weapons, clothes, medicine, snacks, and other necessities. After what had happened to me yesterday, we knew that there would be more walkers in the building, and since it's two against God knows how many, we knew we couldn't stay for much longer.
Since my leg was getting better by the day, there was a higher chance of me running without Glenn assisting me today, but since Glenn didn't have his car, we didn't know how we'd escape, especially with an unknown amount of walkers.
But then, it hit me.
"Glenn, we could use the bikes," I say, making him look over. "But what about all this stuff? It'd be too much weight," Glenn said softly, making me sigh. He had a point. We had a lot of shit with us. And that "shit" is the stuff that'll keep us alive.
But then, another idea came to mind, "The car area, they repairable cars here. I know how to fix cars and you know a lot about them so, if we find the keys, we could have a sweet ride out of here. Nice and safe," I say, making Glenn smile, "I told you this the day I met you in class, but you're a genius," He mused, making me chuckle and blush at the compliment. "Thanks," I muttered, standing up grabbing two of the hunting axes putting them in my belt, and making my way to the door, peaking my head out the window. "If you shove through with a shopping cart or something, I can tie the cart to my torso with those bungee cords and use my axes to get the walkers on our way out," I say, my eyes scanning the area, landing on a few walkers that could potentially be a problem.
Glenn stood up and joined my side, "Okay, and you think this will work?" He asked timidly. "I know it will. It has to. Plus, this could be the smartest shot we have," then the gears turned in my head, making my eyes widen, "Or, we can take the shopping cart," I say, running over to the shopping cart that had almost all of our stock in it, "Take the doors off the lockers and the bathroom door, hell the food trays if we have to, make a battering ram with our stuff in the cart, me inside with my axes and some of the mops so I can get some off from a distance, and you can push the cart while being guarded by doors and trays while I tell you to turn left or right," I glanced to him, pulling out the tools duffle bag and pulled out the tools chest, pulling out the power drill, "And we'd both be fully protected, just like a tank but not at the same time," I finished.
I finally turned to face Glenn fully to see his jaw agape and eyes wide. "What?" I asked with a genuinely confused smile, "What?" I asked again when I got no response. "How in the hell did you think of that so fast? That's so smart," He gushed, making me shyly laugh.
After that, we took hours assembling the whole thing, the loud power drill probably alerted more walkers, but we knew they couldn't break through the bars that kept the Subway closed. Sure, they've dented and smudged the glass with blood and dirt, but it seems like the see-through material was bulletproof, probably for robbing or rioting reasons.
Rioting didn't happen much, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.
I ran a hand through my hair tiredly as I finished the last screw. "Okay, I think we take a small break and then book it," I panted, looking down at Glenn as I was already in position. "Agreed," He wheezed, making me laugh at the tired, raspy tone in his voice. Before sitting down in the cart and making spears by duct taping a knife to the ends of the brooms that I was using while Glenn did the same with the ones we had poking out. It was a mere attempt to stop the walkers, it was about average height so most would be penetrated in the head and killed, slowing down the rabid pack of walkers.
And you may be asking, how the fuck are we gonna get that out there with so much weight? I mean, you're using fucking doors and your cart is packed!
My answer is simple, my loves.
We removed the normal wheels with bigger, thicker electric wheels from an expensive, electric toddler car we found. I hijacked it to the cart and put fresh batteries in both the battery module and the remote control. Glenn would be in the cart with me as he controlled the small remote as I killed walkers with my broom spears on the way. We did a few tests and it works pretty damn well. All we had to do now was sit and relax, waiting for the right moment to book it.
Two and a half hours passed and we were ready to get out. We stood up in the cart and pressed the button to make the barrier go up, making walkers charge at our cart. I held the control as Glenn killed it off the walkers. It was pretty damn hard to steer through the isles, but we made it one way or another. The car gates were opened while barely any walkers were in there and that gave us enough time to go full blast into the garage. Glenn jumped out and ran to the elevator door and cut the ropes on each side of the door, having to kill and shove away walkers to get from one to the other, the garage door slamming down and beheading multiple walkers. Glenn killed off the remaining walkers that were with me and the now parked cart and the walkers who still had their heads intact.
"Glenn! Are you okay?!" I called, unlatching one of the doors we purposely made able to open hopping from the cart, and running over quickly. The Asian boy panted heavily, his chest heaving while his clothes were covered in blood. "I... I'm... I'm okay..." He huffed. I pulled him into a tight hug, making him drop the makeshift spear and hug back, his grip strong but gentle and comforting. "I'm okay... I'm okay..." He whispered breathlessly, leaning his chin on my shoulder.
When we pulled back, Glenn swore a curse under his breath, "You're all bloody and sweaty now..." He sighed, "I'm sorry," He chuckled awkwardly. "It's fine. I don't care. Let's find the keys, fix up a sturdy car, put our shit in it, raid the gas section and get the hell outta here," I say making him laugh and nod, following me as I marched off towards a desk area.
After we picked a car which was a red Ford truck, I fixed it while Glenn filled the backseat with our stuff and put some of the knife-broom-pitchforks on the sides so we would keep walkers at bay. And once I was done, Glenn opened one of the garage doors by pressing a button on the wall before booking it to the passenger side, slamming the door shut as I slammed my foot on the break and sped out of there, making the tires squeal as I left the area and into the parking lot where I ran over many walkers, weaving through many carts, crashed cars, random cardboard boxes, the whole damn thing before finally making it onto the main road.
As I was about to talk, the radio started going off, causing us to flinch and stare at the radio. I slammed my foot on the brakes and turned the volume up a bit.
"To any survivors of Georgia or any state around us, the city of Atlanta has a safety area with doctors, military, food, and water. I repeat Atlanta City in Georgia has a safety area, we have food, water, military, and doctors. We're working on finding a cure, people, but for the time being, Atlanta Georgia is a safe place. I repeat, a safe place."
Then, there was silence.
"Atlanta is only an hour or so drive from here," Glenn said, turning to face me. "It's gonna take more than an hour. We gotta move slowly so we don't attract more walkers, but I'm skeptical about this," I say. "Why?" He asked, pulling out the map of Georgia he had knicked from the arts and crafts aisle. "I just... It doesn't feel right in my gut, but if it's the closest and safest option," The boy looked up at me as I paused to sigh.
"Atlanta City, here we come."
