Ch.25

Spencer's P.O.V

Today's the day. Me and Liv get to find out if we're having baby boys, baby girls, or a baby boy and girl. I could only imagine what the outcome would be. But first and foremost, I have to thank my beautiful fiancé. I never thought I would have the capability to love, especially with everything that happened in the past. But when I first met Liv and the more I got to know her, the more I fell in love with her. Olivia is a strong independent woman who raised Brianna on her own. She taught me how to love, and made me feel more open, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her and see the family we're building.

For the gender reveal, we decided to get a big present that will either contain blue or pink balloons. Me, Liv, and Brianna will get to do that, while all of our family and friends will be provided with confetti powder guns that'll also reveal the gender of the twins.

"Hey, Liv. How are you feeling?"

"I feel like a fat cow. I'm almost hungry every 10 minutes. I can't help it."

"Babe. It's okay. You're pregnant and eating for three. You are and will always be attractive to me because nothing is more beautiful than seeing the woman I love and wanting to spend the rest of my life with, carrying my children."

Liv started to get emotional as tears were falling from her eyes. "Damnit, Spencer. You made me cry again. It's the hormones, but regardless, I love you so much and I can't wait to be Mrs. James." I smiled at her and she kissed me with passion.

"So do you have any predictions on what we're having?" Liv asked me.

"I honestly don't know. But there was one thing that I imagined."

"What's that?"

"If we end up having a boy, who knows? Maybe he becomes a great football player and gets drafted to the team I'm currently playing for and it'd be a first seeing a father and son being on the same team."

"Spencer, if you want that to happen. You have to really take good care of your body."

"Definitely. But if Tom Brady and Lebron James can play for over 20 years, why not Spencer James?"

"That's a good point. That'd be a dream come true. But I'm positive that can turn into a reality."

"Thank you, baby!" I kissed her as we continued to get everything set up before our family and friends arrived.

Olivia's P.O.V

A few hours later...

Both of our families, Spencer teammate's, and my friends were all in attendance as they wanted to be here for both me and Spencer.

"Damn girl. You look like you are about to pop any day now." Kia, Layla, and Davita teased me.

"I know. I know. Make all the jokes you want. I'm just happy that I me and Spencer are starting our lives together and we're building our family."

"Well, we couldn't be happier Liv. Spencer is a good man and there's no doubt he'll continue to do right by you and the kids. Trust me. I've been in your shoes, and ever since I met Darnell, he's made me the happiest woman in the world." Kia said.

"Thanks, girl. And I've seen the way you and Darnell are with each other. If I may ask, how have you been able to keep your marriage like this?"

"One word, sis. Communication. Yes, we've had our ups and downs before, but that was because of our lack of communication, but once we fixed that issue, we had no doubts about trusting each other. If we didn't, we wouldn't be married and have had Darren and Kianna. We always communicate with each other. And at the end of the day, we both want what's best for our family. I've seen the type of man Darnell has become, and that's why I love him and am proud to be the mother of his children."

I smiled as her answer made me think of Spencer and everything we've been through and how we've grown together. "Thanks, Kia!"

"Anytime."

"So you ready for the gender reveal?" Davita asked me.

"You know it."

"Are you hoping for boys or girls?"

"I honestly wouldn't mind another girl, but I would be lying if I said I didn't want a boy. Spencer told me that he wanted a boy, but is okay with whatever the outcome is. He's just blessed to have children with me. You know he told me that I saved him, but the truth is he saved me, Brianna will forever be my first blessing because I'm proud to be her mother, but Spencer saved me too, and made me realize I wasn't alone. And ever since Brianna's met him, Spencer treats her like his own daughter, another reason why I love him and am proud to have these twins with him." I smiled and rubbed my stomach as I tear fell on my face.

"Liv don't cry. This is supposed to be a happy day."

"I know, but can you blame me? Maybe it's the hormones." We all laughed.

"Okay, everyone! Gather around! We're about to reveal the genders of the twins" My mom yelled and we all made our way to the backyard. "First of all, I want to thank you all for coming. This means a lot to me. Liv, nothing has made me happier than to see you next to that gentleman. Spencer, I know you guys have a date at the wedding, but I want you to know that you've always been family to us ever since we first met, and I want to thank you for being there for both Jordan and Olivia. And now, I can't wait to meet my two grandkids." She said to Spencer.

"Thank you, Mrs. Baker."

"Okay, so can I have Spencer, Liv, and Brianna come up here to this big present?" We all made our way to the big present.

"All right, now everyone else, please take out your confetti powder cannon, and on the count of three, you'll twist the knob to your left, and it'll reveal the genders. Spencer, Liv, and Brianna, on three, all of you will open this big present."

"Okay, Grandma!" Brianna said to her as we all smiled.

"All right, on three. One! Two! Three!"

We opened the present while confetti and powder were shot up in the air.

"Spencer? Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"

"Yes, Liv. I am."

"WE ARE HAVING A BABY BOY AND A BABY GIRL!!!!" Spencer and I shouted.

I see Spencer drop to his knees, kisses my belly, and puts his hand on it.

"Hello, my little prince and princess. This your Daddy speaking. I wanted to tell you how grateful I am that I get to be your Daddy. I can't wait to meet you both and I know Mommy can't wait too." Spencer said as he got emotional.

"Daddy, why are you crying?" Brianna asked.

"These are happy tears, baby girl. I just can't wait to meet your baby brother and baby sister."

"Me too!" Brianna walks up and kissed my belly and hugs me while we hugged her back.

"I love you, Spencer James."

"I love you too." We kissed each other passionately as this was a day we would never forget and couldn't wait to meet our daughter and son.

The way Spencer broke down pretty much says it all. It was also cute how Brianna went up to Liv's stomach and hugged it and said she can't wait to meet her baby brother and sister.
