Ch.19

Olivia's P.O.V

It was a beautiful sunny as our whole family was out on the beach. I also invited Kia, Darnell, and their twins to come join us. While the guys were playing with the kids, we were lying down, getting some sun.

"Hey Liv, I couldn't help but notice, something's a little different with you." Kia told me. "What do you mean?" I asked her.

"Not in a bad way girl. Why so jumpy? What I mean is, you're glowing."

"I mean I feel good."

"That's great. How are things with you and Spencer?"

"Things are going well. We're actually trying to have a baby."

"Are you serious? Liv, if I could see you with someone in the future, it would be Spencer."

"Definitely! I can't wait to see my little niece or nephew in the future." Layla said agreeing with Kia.

"Well, I'm glad to hear your thoughts on that. Oh and Layla, what if you got to meet your little niece or nephew in seven and a half months?"

"Wait, Liv! Are you saying that-" I cut Layla off, smiled, and nodded my head.

"Yes. I'm pregnant. With Spencer's child. This is a dream come true. I'm really going to have a family with the love of my life." I said as I started to get emotional and both Kia and Layla wrapped their arms around me.

"Liv don't cry. You should be happy."

"I'm not sad. These are tears of joy. Just looking back at everything. I never thought I would find real love again. That was until I met Spencer, he saved me and my daughter. The way Brianna sees and treats Spencer like he is her father, that's a mother's joy."

"Have you told either one of them?" Layla asked.

"No, not yet. I want to surprise them both."

"What do you think Spencer's reaction will be?" Kia asked.

"He's going to be surprised, but so happy. I remember the first time we both thought I was pregnant."

"What happened?" Layla asked me.

"So last year, I wasn't feeling well and started feeling nauseous. I threw up a lot and thought it was a stomach bug, but then I realized I was late, so there was a possibility I could be pregnant, but when the doctor told me the results, it turned out that I wasn't pregnant."

"How did Spencer take the news?"

"He was actually disappointed and tried to avoid communicating with me, but I got him to open up. This wasn't the first time he dealt with a pregnancy?"

"Wait! Liv, did he cheat on you?" Kia asked in an angry tone.

"No, Kia. Calm down. This was way before Spencer and I met. But there was a possibility that the baby wasn't his. His girlfriend at the time was cheating on him, but sadly she miscarried."

"Damn. I could only imagine what Spencer was going through back then."

"I was surprised too. But when he told me, he got emotional, and now I finally understood why he was so distant. But he also blamed himself for not being able to get me pregnant."

"But it wasn't his fault. Right?" Kia asked.

"No, it wasn't. I was still on the pill back then. But this time it's a guarantee. I'm carrying his child. I even have an idea of how I'm going to surprise him."

"I can see it already Liv, he's going to be so happy." Layla said.

"Thanks, Layla!"

"How do you think Brianna will react to this?"
