When I wake up it’s to crying. I sit up fast with my eyes wide open. I see Auggie rocking a crying Hayden in his arms. “Aw, sh, you’re okay. I swear. You’re okay.” He coos to Hayden
I get up and he looks at me. “Sorry.” He says
‘It’s fine. Is he okay?’
I ask him
He nods his head and smiles “Yeah, just fussy that’s all.” Auggie tells me
I leave and go to the bathroom, I go, brush my teeth and brush my hair. I walk out to find Auggie’s on the bed asleep with Hayden.
I kiss them both on the forhead then grab my phone. I see I have a text from Kandace. She wants to hangout just me, her and Tasha at one. I accept her offer and go downstairs. I close the baby gate then start fixing breakfast for the kids. I fix up eggs for them. I go up the stairs and gather up the kids and take them down stairs. “But mommy! I’m tired!” Beth complains
“I know, baby, but don’t you wanna eat some eggs?” I ask her
“No. I wanna sleep. Gosh, mommy.” She tells me
I sigh and help her into her booster seat at the table. I help them all and serve them their breakfast. I go up the stairs once again and get Hayden. I grab a blanket and go downstairs with him in my arms. He starts getting fussy. I start feeding him. “Mommy?” I hear Annie call out
“Hold on baby. I’m kinda busy.” I tell her
“Mommy!” She cries
I get up from the couch, put Hayden down then walk into the kitchen to see her pointing at Oliver who’s looking at his hand in pure horror. I look at his tiny bloody hand. Oh, my god.
“Oliver? Are-what-what happened? Where are you bleeding from?” I whisper
I rush over to him and he opens his little fist to reveal he lost his very first tooth. “Mommy! I broke it!” He cries
I feel the relief flood through my body and the tears run down my face rapidly. “Oh, baby. No, you just lost a tooth. That’s all.” I promise him
“I’m okay?” He asks me in between sniffles
“Yeah, Oli. You’re okay.” I whisper
I pull him to me and start sobbing. “I thought you said I was okay, Mommy.” I hear him whisper
“You are, that’s why I’m so happy.” I tell her
“Loretta?” I hear Auggie say my name
I get up and turn to face Auggie. “What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” He asks me
I run to him and hug him tight. I cry in his shoulder. He pulls away and asks me ‘What happened?’
‘Oliver lost a tooth. I walked in and saw blood…I thought the worst. I thought he…’
‘Went deaf?’
‘I was so scared.’
Auggie hugs me tight and kisses my forehead. “Shh, you’re okay.” He whispers
Kandace’s POV
“Well, hello, Doll Face. How are you on this beautiful afternoon?” I ask Tasha as she walks into the restraunt in a cute V-neck batman shirt, dark blue skinny jeans and sparkly blue TOMS with her hair pulled to the side in a braid
She walks over to the booth and sits down. “Oh, isn’t this place swanky?” She laughs
“Yeah, I got those connections.” I say
