The Dragon House

chapter 1

My golden-brown hair swirled around me as  I landed, shattering the rocky ground.I got up from crouched position and sprinted forward, the air whooshing past me.My hazel eyes spotted the shadowy figure flying through the dark abandoned streets."Found you",I whispered, steam pouring from my mouth.I followed after the shadow, cornering it in a dark alley.

The silhouette turned towards me, showing me it's hate-filled red eyes and pointed fangs.The creature hissed at me and crouched into a fighting position, the blood from it's latest kill still dripping from it's mouth.I stepped forward, tempting the beast.It launched itself towards me,the muscles in it's leg uncoiling as it took off.I smirked."Silly vampire..",I twirled into a 360,"tricks are for hunters"I sang as I landed a solid kick right in the ribs of the vampire.

He landed with a dull thud,sending shattered gray pieces of the concrete wall flying.My face was set in a line as the creature flung his head up,his blond hair flying about.As if in slow motion he descended on me.Grabbing me roughly by my fore-arms and slamming me against the wall.I sunk to the ground and looked up at his harsh red eyes filled with hunger.

He smiled coldly as he raised his arm to strike."You may have tricks but I have treats."he said in a chilling voice,as he swung down upon me.His hand stopped.I looked past him to see Sam holding his elbow."That's not very nice.",he said in his deep voice,his dark brown hair tousling in the wind.I stood up.

"I've got it Sam." I said, making my voice sound strong."You sure"he said,the vamp against the wall," I can always tear his arms off".The vampire hissed and Sam pushed him harder against the brick wall.I rolled my eyes."I'm pretty sure i can handle the big bad vampy",I mocked.

The vamps eyes darted to me,blazing with anger.I smirked as Sam let go of the vampire.He jumped as I side-stepped,did a twirl and slammed my elbow into his spine.He smacked into the ground with a hiss as I shifted into a fighting stance.The vampire pushed himself off the ground and glared,his fire red eyes turning cold as ice.

In one swift move I crouched down and swung my leg.My foot crashed into his ankles sending him flying belly up in the air.With one quick maneuver I lifted my leg high in the air and drove my heel into his stomach.I heard an 'oaf' as his head impacted with the concrete."Now i'll give you two choices.A-you give up now and i'll put you in jail with minor injuries or B-there will be two hits: 1-my fist hitting your face 2-your face hitting the ground" I said ,ticking my fingers off as I counted.

He opened his eyes and glared.I saw his hate filled eyes as he rolled to face me.His gaze seemed to scorch me.I watched as he pushed himself of the ground and stood in a rock hard stance."oh,tuff little vampy aren't you?" ,I mocked as I readied myself for his attack.

He hissed as he lunged at me and swung his fist forward.I clenched his fist in my hand and pulled him closer,our faces inches apart."ohh..wrong move",I whispered as I thrust my arm forward sending him crashing into the wall."Strike!!" I shouted throwing my hands into the air and jumping up in one of those 90's stop the movie here poses.I heard Sam's laughter followed by some giggling through the communicator I was wearing.

I raised my hand to my ear and pressed the circular button in the middle of it."Whats so funny Alice."I asked as she was slowly quieting her giggling."You."she gasped still short of breath from laughing so hard."What about me?" I questioned raising an eyebrow slightly."Seriously Breanna?"Sam inquired,coming up behind,"You just quoted the children from the Trix commercials and your asking Alice whats so funny?"

"Ya pretty much" I said after a long pause."Urg"Sam groaned as Alice burst into hysterics."Alice will you please bring around the van" I asked."S-sure"she stuttered,trying to keep in her laughter."Sam get the vampy" I said boredom seeping into my voice,"It's time to roll".
