We were running through the damp tunnel,our footsteps echoing off the moist rock as we pushed ourselves forward.My hair swirled around me and our breathing came out ragged as we shifted direction for the third time.As we rounded the corner I spotted what looked liked cloth hanging from the rough cave entrance with light steaming through.My eyes stayed trained on the opening and sped up,instantly hearing the footsteps behind me speed up as well.Calculating the distance between us and the rag I decided to use this time to replay what Crystal had said to me in my head.
2 minutes ago:
"A slave settlement?",I questioned.'Emma didn't say anything about slaves'.(A/N:In case you didn't notice this when I put a ' before and after a sentence is her thinking.)"Yes it's where the vampires keep the slaves",she informed me.'Why would vampires need slaves.Their fast,strong, and clever.' "What do they use slaves for?",I asked, authority ringing in my voice.
"Mostly for chores like laundry,cleaning,ect. but sometimes they take out slaves so they can drink their blood.",she reported.Bringing my hand to my chin and began to bite my thumbnail, I quickly absorbed this information and was now starting to contemplate it.'So there are and their used for manual labor and blood.Why didn't Emma tell me?I'll have to ask later but for now I should go with Crystal.'Seeing that I was done analyzing what she said Crystal nodded and ran ahead,with Julie right on her tail.With a sigh I surged forward to pursue them.
End Of Flashback:
I blinked a few times before remembering where I was.'Man I need to stop blanking out'.I heard fast breathing and quick paced footsteps coming from behind me indicating Crystal and Julie were keeping up.Looking forward I now noticed that the cloth was now a few meters away.'Well this will be fun',I thought as we barged thought the thin fabric and stepped into light.
