Roommates ~ Red son x mk

MK's POV:

When I get back to Red Son's dorm I can hear sobbing coming from Red Son's room. I hesitate before knocking on his door. In love with him or not, I should be there for him.

"Red Son?" I say softly.

There's no response. I slowly open the door to find him on the floor with his back pressed against the bed. He is curled up in a ball with his legs against his chest.

"Oh, Red," I say as I rush over to him. I wrap my arms around him, resting his head on my chest.

"What happened?" I ask.

He shifts, finally meeting my eyes. My breath catches when his shocking ruby gaze finds mine. "You were right."

"Right about what?"

"Tim. He's been cheating on me this whole time. I'm so sorry," Red Son says, his normally smooth voice sharp and uneven.

"No, it's okay," my heart breaks for him.

"It's not okay," he says, sitting up fully, "I accused you of lying and so many other things. The stuff I said- please believe me that I would give anything to take them back."

"The things you said weren't okay, but the fact that you've realized your mistake is. I forgive you, Red Son."

"You shouldn't. You should hate me."

"But I don't. I-" my breath hitches, unsure of how to finish.

"You...what?" Red Son asks.

"I'm not even close to hating you. You're a very great friend, Red Son," wow that must have been convincing.

He smiles a bit at that. "Thanks MK."

Suddenly, I hear footsteps pounding towards Red's room. Tim throws open the door.

"Why are you here, with him," he growls.

"I have a better question, why-" I start, but Red Son cuts me off.

"I know about Dolion," Red Son says coolly.

Tim's face falls, but only for a second. "Well you've been cheating on me with MK so-"

"LEAVE MK OUT OF THIS" Red Son roars.

Tim looks taken aback. Finally, he scoffs. "Whatever. You and I? We're over."

"Good," Red Son says as Tim leaves.

Standing up, I wrap Red Son in my arms. "That was wonderful, you're- you're wonderful," I say, meeting his gaze for a second before hastily looking away, flushed.

"Thanks," Red Son says.

I hastily back away. "So, do you wanna go to...dinner or something?"

He nods, and thus we found ourselves outside of Pigsy's Noodles.
