ISABEL'S SUMMER BREAK PLANS were pretty good for the first few days. it consisted of sleeping and catching up on shows that she hadn't had the chance to during her time constantly away. oh, and training downstairs because luca wouldn't let her do absolutely nothing.
later in the week she had plans to help emilia settle into her new place, and then not much after that, except for sending the email that had been sitting in her drafts for a few months. but that would be at the end of the break.
at the moment, the media was currently in a fit because on the eve of the hungarian grand prix, sebastian vettel had announced his retirement from formula one at the end of the season.
naturally, when he had made the announcement, isabel and mick planned to meet up outside his hotel room with food for an impromptu retirement gathering for him. they promised that they were going to get the whole grid together for a proper one when everyone was free, possibly at the end of the season. it was a little bittersweet though since sebastian was the one to help them settle into formula one and teach them everything, and now he was the one leaving. but this was good for sebastian, and they both knew that he couldn't stay away from the sport forever, so he'd definitely show up again at some point, even if it wasn't to race.
isabel's plan was to let the internet eat up his retirement announcement before she released her own news about quitting the team. either that or she waited until the belgian grand prix weekend because sebastian had already kicked off silly season with a bang. so far, though, the end of summer break was looking a lot more favourable to do so.

ISABEL HAD A LOVE-HATE relationship with solitude. it was as simple as that.
for one, she loved having time to herself when she was constantly thrust into social situations for her job. it was no secret that she had never done too well with large amounts of people and it had been evident ever since she was a kid, but she had found a way to hide it well on her journey through the formula series. she loved spending time in peace and quiet away from all the loudness that the world offered because it allowed her to think clearly.
think of it this way. it's like being in a crowded room all day every day with no off switch, and then the second you step into a different room and close the door to reality, everything falls silent. but it's not a bad silent, no, it's the perfect mix of peace and quiet that allows the relaxation process to occur. isabel liked that feeling.
however, it did have its downsides. she lived far away from her family and friends since they all lived in and towards the heart of monte carlo. that meant she had to travel longer to go see them but even then it wasn't enjoyable because she hated having to be careful of where she drove, not wanting to attract any attention to her very private residence.
