"WHERE DO YOU KEEP going? it's with daniel, right?"
isabel finished lacing up her shoes before she looked up at max, who was sat on the other couch and studying old races. she had noticed in particular that they were races that her driving style had challenged him in, so no doubt his team wanted him to work out how she had outsmarted him on track.
"why?" isabel teased, standing up and grabbing her laptop and phone from the coffee table. "jealous that i am spending time with another one of your boyfriends?"
max rolled his eyes, "ha," he said sarcastically, "definitely."
they had gotten two hotel rooms for the week in mexico, even though half the time they were in each other's. luca deemed isabel fit enough to start training more again and so max and isabel's schedules were vastly different during the early mornings.
"okay," isabel walked over to where he was sitting. max paused the race and looked up at her. "if i tell you, you have to keep quiet because we are not sure what's happening with it all yet."
"okay . . ." max nodded slowly, "of course i will. what's up?"
she sat down beside him and set her things on the cushion beside her. "daniel and i . . . we have kind of planned to be business partners," she continued before max could say anything, "and we are working out a brief outline before we finalise any ideas. if we do it, it could take a year or two to get it running."
as far as max knew, daniel had his own side businesses and was very well-versed in such areas. he hadn't known isabel to have the same interest. "so . . . what are you planning on running?" he asked curiously.
isabel's face morphed into a smile, "we want to start our own f1 team," she almost laughed when max's mouth dropped open in shock. "which means there will potentially be twenty-four drivers on the grid . . . but it's fun!"
