angelica's pov - november 27th

Feeling Abby's face in my hands is almost like a dream come true. I don't know how long we sit like this, long enough for the tension in the room to become unbearable. Before I can think on it much longer Abby finally says something.

"Can I kiss you?" I smile and nod.

She tucks the hair behind my right ear like she does all the time and finally after weeks of confusing feelings it at all makes sense. She tips my head down and grazes her lips across mine, almost as if she's a ghost of the past. I close my eyes and feel myself shiver as her lips are finally placed on top of mine. It was everything.

I feel myself melt onto the floor in her lap as our lips mold against one another. She presses my body against hers and it felt like I was on fire. Her strong arms engulfed my entire being and just when I think I'm going to pass out she lets go all too quickly.

She lets out a breath, "Sorry I haven't kissed anyone in awhile."

I just laugh shaking my head, "It's okay, that was my first kiss." I tell her fiddling with the end of her braid, my arms still draped over her strong shoulders. She looks at my with a seriously look on her face.

"I told you I've lived on that island my whole life. Never anyone my age, except for Ellie but she's practically my sister." I shrug.

"Even if it's selfish I'm happy I was your first kiss, even if I'm your kidnapper." She whispers sheepishly.

I just roll my eyes, getting off her lap to which she whines about. Heading to the kitchen I ask if she's hungry because I sure am. We spend the rest of the day watching a few movies and playing a board game called 'Monopoly'.

I wake up in the middle of the night freezing and reach to turn my lamp on with no luck. Wrapping my blanket around me I trudge around the house looking to see if all the power is out, it is. Not really wanting to disturb Abby but having no clue how fix it I knock on her room door.

"Angel? What's the matter?" She rubs her eyes and her braid is all disheveled. Does she ever take it out?

"I think the power is out, it's freezing in here," I pout. Wrapping my blanket tighter around my body.

I follow her as she flips the kitchen light switch off and on. She huffs in annoyance and throws her boots and jacket on. I decide to follow suit.

"What're you doing?" She puzzles as I get dressed with her.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going to help..."

She rolls her eyes, "It's definitely too cold out there for your petite body. Sit on the couch, I won't be long."

Not wanting to argue I go ahead and sit down, grabbing a book and doing as she says. I imagine it's probably way colder out there than in here. She's only outside about fifteen minutes when she comes in, kicking her boots off and cursing.

"Fuck it's cold out there. I need to find my gloves today, I think it's going to snow tonight." She rubs her palms down her sweats.

"So the heat will be back on soon?" I ask while watching the kitchen light flicker on.

"Yeah, hopefully it doesn't take long Angel. Wouldn't want you to freeze." She teases me while washing her hands. I nod at her, not knowing what to do. Still unsure about the dynamic of our newfound status. I just head back to my room.

I lie there for about two hours before I'm shivering again, needing some type of heat source. Is it going to be like this all winter? I've never really experienced this season before, back on the island is really only ever got mildly chilly.

Not being able to stand it I venture off to Abby's room. Carefully creeping in the dark I nearly fall onto my knees not being able to see. Pushing open her door I take notice to her buff figure sprawled across her mattress. How can she not have the blankets wrapped around her? Is she really not that cold?

Nudging her arm, "Abby... Abby wake up." I poke and prod at her.

"What now Angel?" She mumbles into the bed. I roll my eyes.

"I'm still cold," I whine. She peers up at me through her lashes and groans.

"I don't want to get up again.. just sleep with me tonight." My eyes nearly shoot out my head. Did she really just say that? She wants me to sleep in her bed, with her?

"Are you sure? I don't want to bug you.." But to that she simply tugs me down and nestles my backside against her front.

It takes me by surprise as I yelp, not used to being this close to someone like this before. I shimmy around trying to get comfortable. After a few minutes go by I can feel myself begin to breathe as my body melts into hers. I can feel her braid dance along my neck. I can feel her chest move in sync with mine and I can't help the butterflies that bloom inside my belly.

As I'm getting closer to sleep a sense of warmth spreads throughout my whole body as I feel her calloused hand rest on my hip, just where my shirt has ridden up.

I go to sleep with a smile on my face.
