Several Hours Later

(Reader POV)

You watched out the passenger side window as Tommy drove up the snow-covered mountain to the house he had rented for the two of you. Tommy reached over and grabbed your hand, pulling it to his lips and pressing a delicate kiss to it. You turned and smiled at him, seeing the worried glance the guitarist was giving you, making your heart break. The guitarist had been very quiet during the drive, like there was something on his mind that he was afraid to share with you.

"What is it Tommy? You have been giving me the same sad look since we lost the babies," You asked.

"Are you going to want to try again for a baby?" He asked as he came to a red light.

"Of course I want to. Is this why you haven't tried to make a move on me in the last three weeks, because you think im gonna push you away? Losing the babies wasn't either of our faults, I think Eli showing up was just too much stress to handle," You replied

"Have you heard from your brother since that night?" Tommy asked as the light changed

"No, I haven't I figured I would try to reach out to him when we got back home," You replied

"I think we should hire someone to do some digging on your brother before we welcome him back with open arms," The guitarist replied

"Like a private investigator or something?" You asked, turning back to look out the window.

"Yeah Doc can make a few calls and we can find out if his story matches up. I just want to protect you, baby," Tommy replied.

"Lets talk about it when we get back home. This weekend I just want it to be about us and making recent memories," You replied.

"Deal, and good news. We are here," The guitarist replied, turning off the car.

The two of you hurried out of the car and grabbed all of your belongings to bring into the cabin. A smile pulled at your lips as the guitarist opened the door. The cabin was huge, and you were immediately in love with the place, seeing the hot tub out in the back of the house. Tommy walked up behind you and put his hands on your hips, making you jump slightly. You turned in his arms and kissed his lips, hearing him gasp for a moment before the older man pulled you in tighter.

"I love you, Y/N" Tommy whispered in between kisses

"I love you too, Tommy. How about we go get in the hot tub and then Ill make us dinner?" You asked.

"Theres something better I would like to do," He replied, picking you up

Tommy pressed his lips against your before pushing his tongue into your mouth. The two of you battled back and forth with aggressive kisses. He carried you up the stairs to a large, open bedroom and laid you on the bed. You sat up on your elbows and watched as Tommy pulled off his hoodie and t-shirt giving you a few moments to enjoy the view before he climbed into bed with you.

"You just can't keep your hands off me, can you?" you replied as you looked up at him

"You're my wife, of course im going to want you. You are the most beautiful woman in the world," Tommy said, rubbing his nose against yours.

"I would rather just cuddle and talk if we could. I'm just so tired from the trip," You said, looking away from him.

"Baby, look at me. I'm more than happy to lie down with you and nap. I don't always have to have sex. You know I'm not Gene," Tommy replied, pulling you to his chest.

You pulled a blanket over the top of the two of you and snuggled against Tommy's chest. He ran his hand down your back before he kissed the top of your head. The sound of a cell phone ringing echoed from the guitarist's jean pocket. The guitarist groaned and pulled his phone out, cussing under his breath, as he rolled away from you.

"Its Paul. I asked him to keep an eye on the house while we were gone." Tommy said.

"Answer it. Ill be here napping," You replied, pulling the covers tighter over you.

You heard Tommy chuckle before he answered the phone and pulled the door shut behind him. Quickly, you felt your eyelids grow heavy as you heard the guitarist's voice fade away in the distance.
