A month later

You were standing at the stove cooking dinner for Tommy and yourself. Smiling to yourself as you heard Tommy in the living room playing with Aiden on the floor. The last month had flown past the two of you as you adjusted to life as newlyweds and parents. The two of you were closing in on the adoption day of your son, and the party afterwards that Erin and Paul had insisted on throwing for your new little family.

"Hows it going in here, mama?" Tommy asked, as he stood in the kitchen holding Aiden.

"The pasta is almost done, if you want to put him in the little play chair," You replied

"Dada can absolutely do that for the little man," Tommy said in a singsong voice

You laughed and made the plates for the two of you before bringing them over to the table. Tommy pulled out your chair, and you flashed a smile at him as you took your seat. The two of you dug into your food and ate quietly for a few moments, periodically looking over at Aiden to see him asleep in his play seat. Tommy cleared his throat, making you snap your head over and look at your husband.

"How are you feeling about the court date tomorrow and the party?" Tommy asked.

"Nervous? I have this gnawing feeling that something is going to happen." You replied.

"Like his birth parents show up? I really don't think they are going to find us in Oregon. You have to stop worrying so much. We made it a month with him here. No one banging on our door to take our son. We are his momma and papa." Tommy said sternly.

"I just have been feeling really nauseous lately. I'm also two weeks later," You said shyly

"Should we take a test?" Tommy asked excitedly.

"Do you think us not obsessing over the twins because we had Aiden to focus on made it easy to get pregnant?" You asked.

"I wouldn't say we've been more relaxed. I do put in a lot of work in that bed room but maybe having him to focus on and being happy made it our time to have a baby of our own. Maybe we were supposed to find Aiden first to easy in to parenthood. Though i didnt we would be parents two weeks into our marriage." Tommy said.

A knock sounded on the door, making Tommy look at you oddly. You shrugged your shoulders and walked to the door, finding Eric and Tara in front of you with a big smile on your face. You screamed and grabbed Tara, wrapping her in a tight hug, as Eric laughed. Tommy came running around the corner with a concern look on his face.

"What the fuck?" Tommy said, as the baby started to cry from the living room.

"I'm so sorry. I thought they weren't going to make it!" You said.

"Please, all of you come inside while I get my son," the guitarist replied

The three of you stopped laughing and followed the guitarist into the house. Eric pulled the two carry on suitcases behind him, as you watched Tara race past you and Tommy to grab the baby. You smiled at the guitarist and wrapped your arms around his waist. He ran his hand down your back until it landed on your ass.

"What do you say we go see if we are adding a recent addition to the family? Ifs negative, we can come home and practice." Tommy whispered in your ear,

"What about the baby?" You whispered back.

"Hey Eric and Tara? Would you mind watching the baby for us, so I can take my wife out? We haven't had a night alone since we brought Aiden home." Tommy asked..

"Absolutely" Tara said

"Wait, a second. How much does this gig pay? I don't want to change smelly diapers for free," Eric said, looking over at the guitarist..

"Ill give you twenty bucks and ill order a pizza." You replied.

"Deal" Eric replied before jumping on the couch and turning on the tv.

You and Tommy walked over to the baby and pried him out of Tara's arms to say your goodbyes. Tommy pulled you toward the door, as you gazed back one more time at your son. The two of you raced to the car, and the guitars peeled out of the driveway, heading toward the nearest store to grab a pregnancy test.
