Since there were only two rooms in the cabin, Wei (Y/n) insisted that Meng Yao and the Sect leader each have one. However, Meng Yao kept refusing, claiming that it would be impolite of him since Wei (Y/n) had found the cabin first. Sensing the deadlock, Wei (Y/n) proposed a solution. She suggested that both Meng Yao and the Sect leader stay in the larger room, while she would take the smaller room. Before Meng Yao could respond, Wei (Y/n) swiftly gathered her belongings, entered the small room, and closed the door behind her.
Once inside, Wei (Y/n) surveyed her surroundings. The room was compact but well-organized. It contained a single bed, a table, and a small wardrobe. She carefully arranged her belongings on the table and proceeded to cast a quick protection spell around the cabin. With a sense of caution, Wei (Y/n) also enchanted the door, ensuring that nobody but herself could open it. Placing Jù Lóng, her trusted sword, beside the bed, she finally settled down for the night. Exhausted from the day's events, Wei (Y/n) lay down and quickly succumbed to sleep.
Wei (Y/n) woke up early in the morning and prepared herself for the day ahead. As she removed the protective spells and made her way to check on the two males, she noticed that only Sect Leader Lan was present in the room. Meng Yao was nowhere to be found. Concerned, she approached Sect Leader Lan and noticed that he was breathing heavily as if undergoing some form of mental trauma.
"Hmm," Wei (Y/n) pondered, "Perhaps he is experiencing inner turmoil." Wanting to offer some comfort, she gently picked up her instrument, Yì Jūn, and closed her eyes, beginning to play a soothing melody. The soft and melodic notes filled the room, creating an atmosphere of tranquility, hoping to alleviate the male's distress.
Lan Xichen found himself enveloped in darkness, his surroundings void of any signs of life. As he strained his eyes, a faint glimmer of light caught his attention. Intrigued, he moved toward it, a mixture of hope and trepidation in his heart. However, what awaited him shattered his composure, causing him to fall to his knees in disbelief. The grand Cloud Recesses, his beloved home, was engulfed in flames, its serenity replaced by a scene of devastation. Motionless bodies of disciples lay strewn across the ground, a chilling testament to the tragedy that had befallen them.
Overwhelmed with grief, Lan Xichen struggled to move forward, his body weighed down by the anguish of the sight before him. Amidst the chaos, he spotted Wangji, his dear brother, lying motionless and covered in blood. A surge of pain coursed through Lan Xichen, as if a thousand arrows had pierced his being. The urge to scream clawed at his throat, but he found himself incapable of making a sound.
In the midst of his despair, a soothing melody floated through the air, caressing his ears and beckoning him back to consciousness. Slowly, Lan Xichen's eyes fluttered open, taking in his new surroundings. He found himself lying on a bed, devoid of any pain. Glancing around, he spotted a lady dressed in flowing blue garments, sitting beside him, her nimble fingers expertly dancing across a flute.
As Lan Xichen attempted to sit up, a sharp headache shot through his head, causing him to groan involuntarily. Wei (Y/n) ceased playing her flute and opened her eyes, her gaze locking with his. With a graceful bow, she spoke, her voice filled with relief, "Sect Leader, I am glad to see you awake. Please refrain from exerting too much strain on your body. While I have mended your injuries, your energy has yet to be fully restored."
Rising to her feet, she offered him a warm smile, her eyes filled with a mix of concern and kindness. "I will bring you something to eat. Rest assured, Sect Leader, you are safe here," she reassured him before exiting the room, leaving Lan Xichen alone with his thoughts.
Lying back against the bed, Lan Xichen closed his eyes, his mind still lingering on the vivid dream and the mysterious lady who had awakened him with her soothing flute. Her music had held an inexplicable calmness, providing solace amidst the turmoil. Lost in contemplation, he pondered the identity and intentions of this enigmatic figure, awaiting her return and the answers she might bring
