Chapter: 60

Archion's word left Wei (Y/n) stunned and she kept staring at the spot from where he left. She didn't pay attention to when Lan Xichen set Zhixin next to her and when her son crawled to her lap.

Zhixin looked up at his mother and when he saw her irresponsive, he held front of her robes standing up. Seeing a tear on her face he placed his small hand on her cheek. "Māma?"

His voice snapped her out of her thoughts and she smiled immediately, wrapping her arms around his small figure, hugging him close. Zhixin laughed at this, completely hiden in his mother's wide sleeves.

She tilted head down and kissed his head. "Its quite late for Xin'er to be awake.." She mused and the child just laughed placing his hands on her cheeks. His attention ensnared by the golden pattern on her cheek. He poked it softly with amazed eyes, making Wei (Y/n) laugh.

The three others observed the exchange with small smiles, Lan Wangji decided to leave first. "It is good to have you back sister, but I have to leave. Rest well." Wangji said and she nodded with a smile of her own. "Its good to be back Wangji... Have a nice sleep." She said and Wangji nodded, saluting and leaving the room.

Lan Xichen came next to her placing a hand on her shoulder and she looked up at him, a smile on her lips and her eyes showing all she felt.

Baoshan chuckled when she saw Zhixin continuously poke her mark. "A-(Y/n).. You should cover your mark.. So it doesn't get unwanted attention." (Y/n) nodded to her Master's words but frowned when Baoshan stood up as well.

"Master... Where are you going?" She asked and Baoshan smiled. "For what I came has been done, I have to return now My child." She said softly and Wei (Y/n) frowned. "Can't you stay for some time? You have to meet A-Fen and my disciples." She said trying to stop her and Baoshan chuckled.

"Still as persistent I see. I met A-Fen in the village, and your disciples here. Yet they don't know it was me." She informed and pat her head. "Now Sect Leader you should take care of my daughter." She said with a slight warning in her tone and Lan Xichen nodded immediately.

Baoshan chuckled lightly and leaned to kiss Wei (Y/n)'s and Zhixin's head. "Take care My child." She smiled and straightened up, turning to leave. "Good Bye Master.." Wei (Y/n) bowed her head and Baoshan smiled as she left.

The couple was left alone in the room, Zhixin was falling asleep in her arms, clutching the front of her robes. Lan Xichen once again sat in front of her, placing a hand on her cheek, stroking it softly.

Wei (Y/n) leaned into his touch and closed her eyes for a moment. "I've missed you My love.." He whispered and she opened her eyes, looking at him with her eyes glossed over.

"As have I.." She whispered and Lan Xichen smiled, finally uniting their lips in a long awaited kiss. She closed her eyes, relishing the moment. Lan Xichen cupped her cheek lovingly, pulling back after a while and looked into her eyes.

"There hasn't passed a moment I haven't missed you A-(Y/n)..." He said softly and she smiled lightly closing her eyes. "Every moment apart felt an eternity..." She whispered and Lan Xichen hummed kissing her forehead.

"A-Xin is asleep... Should we go back?" He asked and she looked at him nodding. "Hm. Let's go back to our room." She smiled and Lan Xichen reciprocated it, helping her up. He tried to take Zhixin from her only for the child to clutch her robes, making his parents laugh quietly and exchange a look.

Lan Xichen supported her as they walked back, his arm wrapped around her waist. Gusu was quiet as it was late, the only sound being of the wind. Even if the place she had gotten used to over her stay there was beautiful, it couldn't compare to Gusu. She smiled relaxed, I'm finally back home..
