Chapter: 51

Wei (Y/n), as much as she was worried of what Archion had said to her, didn't let it show. She was ending her pregnancy months so she couldn't train her disciples, more like was restricted by her husband, and spent much time in her room or in the garden in front of the Library pavilion. Her disciples visited her often to greet her or bring her something like small flowers or sweets they bought when they went with their seniors to the Town.

Right now she sat on her bed, Lan Lifen laid her head down on her lap and (Y/n) was caressing her hair. "How are you're classes with Wangji?" She asked softly and Lifen smiled. "Uncle says I'm making fast progress. Maybe he'll start teaching me cultivation really soon."

"That's good to hear." Wei (Y/n) smiled and pat her head. "Māma..." Lan Lifen called softly a while of silence and Wei (Y/n) hummed. "When my sibling comes... You won't forget about me...Will you?" Lan Lifen was worried.

Wei (Y/n) had took her in and he had given her more love than she could imagine. She helped her make memories that became her strength. But she was a child. She was troubled. As much as she loved the idea of having a younger sibling, a little voice in her mind told her that maybe she won't be loved as much as was.

Lan Xichen had just came back to check on Wei (Y/n), for the tenth time, he smiled slightly as he heard her words. "Nonsense. You're our first child. There's no way we'd do that." He said as he made his presence known to both of them. Wei (Y/n) shook her head with a smile. "Of course. There's no reason to worry dear. You are and will be my first daughter."

Lifen smiled at their words and sat up hugging Wei (Y/n) softly, small tears in the corner of her eyes. (Y/n) patted her back soothingly and when she pulled back she cupped her face. "Never think anything like this..Alright?" She said and Lan Lifen nodded, making the older woman smile and kiss her forehead.

"Now go on. Wangji must be in the Library waiting for you." Lan Lifen nodded standing up and saluting her parents once as she skipped out with a smile.

Lan Xichen gracefully walked up to Wei (Y/n) and sat in front of her taking her hands in his own. "How does my beautiful wife fare?" She chuckled at his words and leaned back against the pillows. "Just as I did half an hour ago." He sighed at her words

"Why do I feel you're tired of me checking up on you?" He asked and she smiled entwining their hands together. "I'm not tired. Its just you don't have to come see me every half an hour." He shook his head at this. "What of something happened? What if you don't feel well? What if--"

"Alright. I get it. Husband is too much worried." He smiled lightly leaning to kiss her lips. "Mn.. Let me do what I want to." She giggled at this and nodded. "You'll do it anyways." He chuckled at her words. "You know me too well."

Lan Xichen stood up when a knock sounded from the door. He went to see and came back with a small tray in his hands. Wei (Y/n) raised her eyebrow and he smiled. "I had one of the female disciples prepare some fruits for you."

She shook her head with a fond smile.Lan Xichen put the tray beside her before picking some fruit in front of her mouth to eat. "A-Huan.. I don't want to." She pouted and he shook his head. "You have to. It's good for you."

After being persuaded to eat, the female did take a few slices of the cut fruits. She just picked another one when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach making her gasp and drop the fruit, her hand going to rest on her stomach.

Lan Xichen panicked looking at her. "A-(Y/n)! What's wrong?! Is the baby coming already?! I'll go call the healers!" He just stood up when the female chuckled making him confused. "The baby is kicking A-Huan." She smiled at the male who seemed lost for words.
