The party

No one's POV

James and Severus got to the party an hour before it started, mainly cause James was throwing the party so he had to help set it up.

"Are ya gonna help?" Said James, lifting a foldable table and unfolding it.

"I will be a king in just a month, I will not do the work of a commoner." Said Severus, turning his head away to the air but his body still facing James.

"I'm a pureblood but I still do work." Replied James setting up another table, this time with drinks on it after he set it up.

"That's because you were raised like a commoner." Severus said, slightly annoyed.

"Oh c'mon, you used to clean up after your table when they were messy, what changed?" Said James dramatically, annoying Severus more.

"What happened was that everyone found out I was a engaged future king, back then no one knew about me being a royal." Said Severus bitterly, but returning to his monotone self right after.

"C'mon only once? Please Sev?" James pleaded, and upon hearing his nickname Severus  softened, and a light blush appeared in his face, but it quickly went away, making James think he imagined it.

"Fine."

Skip to when the party begins.

People came pouring into the ball room as soon as it hit 3:00 in the afternoon.

"Yo James!" Said a guy, you guessed it, he was Sirius black, following him was Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew.

"Oh hey Sirius, hi Remus, hello Peter."  James said said grinning.

"Wait, why is Severus here- oh my god did you actually become his-" Sirius said bewildered before he was cut off.

"Guard? Yes, yes I did." Said James grinning even bigger than before.

"Mhmm yeah, now let's go, since your my bodyguard you need to stay with me while I'm giving out he invitations to my friends and acquaintances." Severus said when he took a black and white basket that had a bunch of letters in it that were also white and black that said, 'your invited to the wedding.'

"Ok then, do guys want to come with us?" Asked James to his friends, they shook their heads before James spoke.

"Wait am I invited?" Asked James to Severus who nodded his head yes in response annoyingly since he had already asked that question before.

"Sweet! Can padfoot, moony, and wormtail come?" James asked gesturing to his 3 friends, making Severus raise an eyebrow at James.

"Fine, I have four extra invitations not including yours because your invitation was already guaranteed." Severus said, passing the 3 extra invitations to Sirius, Remus, and Peter and giving James his personal one that said his name like all the other invitations except the extra one's.

(The personal invitations had the name of the invited person on the card already.)

"That gives me one extra invitation left then, I'll probably won't need it, now let's go before I forget to." Said Severus making his way to where he thinks his friends would be meeting some of the people he wanted to invite and giving them their personal invitation.

"Lucius! Narcissa!" Severus shouted as soon as he spotted them, speed walking towards them.

"Why hello there your majesty." Joked Lucius, with his arm around Narcissa.

"Ha-ha Lucius, anyway I'm here to give you two your invitations, I also have to give Mulcibier and Avery their invitations, have you seen them" asked Severus while handing Lucius and Narcissa their invitations.

"I think they're by the drinks over there." Narcissa said pointing over to the drinks.

"Alright then, see you later." Severus said before heading to where the drinks were with James.

One they got there they heard shouting.

"What the hell!" Said a voice, it was Mulcibier.

"It was by an accident now leave me alone." Said a familiar female voice, it was Lily.

She turned and saw James, and slightly tensed, then saw Severus and tensed more.

"H-hey James.....hey Severus........" she said, but Severus tensely walked passed her to where Avery and Mulcibier were at.

"I'm here to give you the invitations to my wedding...." Said Severus handing them their invitations before going back to where he was next to James who was still in front of Lily.

Many people would've asked if James and Severus were the ones getting married since they were delivering the invites together but everyone knew of Severus Snape's engagement to someone else so yeah.

"Uhh...Severus?" Lily said, obviously nervous. Severus sighed making lily tense more. Severus knew Lily since before Hogwarts, and he knew exactly what she wanted to ask.

"Do you want to be invited to my wedding?" Asked Severus, Lily looked down and nodded her head yes.

"Then here is your invitation." Said Severus handing her the last extra invitation, making her look up and smile then suddenly hug him almost making him fall.

"Let's start over and be friends again...Sev." Said Lily while still hugging Severus.

"Ok then, I'll see you later I have to deliver the rest of the invitations." Said Severus before walking away.

"Bye then." Lily said smiling, she finally got her childhood best friend back.
