Lost in thoughts

After the trip to the line islands, everyone had fallen asleep rather quickly. We were tired from the adventure from de day before. The morning however was yet full of hustle bustle as we set off yet again, to a new destination. I loved mornings on deck, smelling the fresh air and the waves just made me feel at ease.

"Morning Ed" I spoke walking over to him. He was cleaning the sword Caspian gave him yesterday.

"Morning Diana." He replied.

"It's going to look magnificent when it's finished." I said taking a seat next to him.

"It sure is." He said, holding it up. He turned his head so he was facing me. He puts down his sword and brings his hand to my face. His smile slowly faded away as he saw the bruises on my face.

"Those dam slave traders! They have no right to even lay a hand on you!"

"Ed, I'm fine really, it doesn't even hurt anymore." My attention was drawn away from Edmund as loud cheers for the crew were heard. Amongst the coward, Estuance had started to duel with Reep, clearly having no success in his sword skills.

"Looks like someones starting to open up to the idea now that he's not back in his own world. Maybe he will fit in after all." I smiled

"Maybe, but I still can't stand him." Edmunds replied left us smiling from ear to ear and laughter leaving our mouths.

I watched as Estuance stabbed at the mouse, to which Reep easily dodged, however Estuance became worried as he stabbed at the mouse causing Reep to fall over the side of the boat. I wasn't worried Reep had done this to me before when we were duelling. I watched as the mouse quietly climbed up the rope and sneaked next to Estuance tapping him on the shoulder before flinging him self at him, sending Estuance flying into some barrels.

"AHHH" a scream echoed from within the barrel before the girl you had seen in the town square crawled out from underneath.

"Gail... what are you doing here?" Her father asked as the crew once again coward round in a circle.

"Looks like we have an extra crew member." The captain spoke nearing the girl and offering her the orange he held in his hands.

"Welcome aboard" Lucy spoke her lips moving up into a smile.

"Your majesty" The small girl bowed as I neared her recognising me immediately.

"Please, call me Diana " I smiled. "Lucy will take you to our room and help you get cleaned up. I'm sure there is some of my old clothes down there that will fit you, help yourself to which ever ones you prefer."

"Thank you your qu...Diana" The girl smiled correcting herself before gently bowing once more and following Lucy down below deck.

After the excitement of the morning the rest of the day felt dull and rather boring. The crew were busy at work on the ship as the captain spent most of this day staring out at sea heading for our new destination. I had gone below deck hoping that Lucy and Gail would have been of some entertainment however they were spending their day playing games and dressing up in my clothes which I found no enjoyment. Caspain had spent the day shut in the study checking maps and papers trying to figure out where the rest of the lords could be.

The only person who had managed to keep me occupied for a small amount of time was Edmund, who had small conversations with me however I could clearly see that he was more focused on his new sword.

I had ended up at the front of the ship, with my legs hanging over the side as I breathe in the salty air. I was left with my thoughts all alone.

I started to think about what will happen once the younger Pevensie siblings leave. A life with Edmund is not possible not in any world.

Edmund had always been a subject in my mind, when I first meet him, I had continued to think about him wondering what we would be.

Then when he left I thought about him, about him returning and us being together again and now with him here once more I thought about him again only this time I though of how long I had left with him. I knew I couldn't stay with him forever he had to go back to his own world eventually. I mean it's not like he could stay here ... right?

As much as I wanted to spend every minute with Edmund, I had also wanted to push him away. Would it hurt more if we parted our ways now or would it be easier to make more memories with each other now and part later. My mind felt like a battle field the more I though about it what was I going to do once Edmund left. Would I ever get over him?

"Land Ho"

Looking up now I could see the dark green colour of land only a short distance away. Pushing my thoughts to the back of my mind, my head was towards the captain.

"Looks uninhabited" Caspain spoke making his way up behind me as I looked out to the large island."But if the lords followed the mist east they would have stopped here."

"Could be a trap." The captain spoke, eyeing the island carefully.

"Or it could hold some answers." Edmund spoke who had been clearly watching from behind the small group.

"Well we won't know unless we check it out." I now spoke up.

"Diana do you think thats a good idea, I mean sunset is nearly an upon us, and we don't know whats out there." Edmund spoke stepping closer towards me.

"Your right, we'll row to shore and explore first thing in the morning.
