Ah, the bleu sky, the clear water... that what was all I could see for the past couple of months. I looked at the blue sky, there's wasn't a cloud to be seen, it was as clear as the ocean. The fresh air and the sent of the sea water made me feel at ease. The wind was blowing in my long blonde locks. I looks down at the horizon. My eyes met the deep midnight colour of the water instead of green grass and dancing trees.
Shortly after the Pevensie siblings had gone back home, my father died meaning I had to take over the Archenland throne. Me and Caspian saw each other less and less because of our duties as king and queen. However, we still met up every once in a while to catch up and talk like we used to. One particular meet up, he had ask me to set sail with him to find the seven lords of Telmar that his uncle Miraz had banished. I agreed obviously, I needed a new adventure. I left the kingdom to my general advisor till my return.
Since that time, someone special has been on my mind. Well actually all of them but mostly him. I could not wait till I got to see Edmund again. Everyday I hoped it'd be the day he'd come back. I would be lying if I said I didn't miss him. I knew I still loved him, even after all theses years. What I was scared of is that wasn't the case for him. What if he stopped loving me? Or worse found someone new. I signed at my thoughts.
"Thinking about him again?" I jumped as I heard Caspian's thick Spanish accent.
"No..." He gave me a look. "Yes, but you can't blame me I miss him." He knew how I felt after Edmund left but I knew he had it a lot worse seeing that he'll never see Susan again. "We all miss him, all of them. You just have to have faith in Aslan and wait for his return." I signed. "I know."
I placed my hand on the golden lions head that was craved into the handle of my sword. It was Edmunds sword that he had given me the day he had left and it hadn't left my side since even if I didn't use it often. I slowly drew it pointing it at Caspian's chest. "Ready for a rematch?" I ask he he simply chuckled as he drew his sword as well.
I threw the first swing. The sword was a perfect balance in my hand that it felt so light as it glided through the air towards Caspian's neck, small vibrations travelling down it, to my hand as it collide with Caspian's sword. The sword glided through the air once again as I spun on my heel and quickly dropping to the floor this time aiming of Caspian's legs. Which he easily avoided, as he swung his sword towards my chest. The clanging of metal upon metal was heard as I yet again blocked one of Caspian's attacks. I pushed all my wight into my sword as Caspian pushed all his against mine, both of us waiting of the other to make another move.
"THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE WATER!" I heard one of crew yell. They had just managed to get enough of Caspian's attention that he had took his focus of me for a few moments, allowing me time to twist my sword around his pulling it from his hands and landing softly in mine before I pointed them both towards his neck.
"I win." I announced.
"That's not fair I was distracted" He argued.
"You can't use that poor excuse in a battle Cas." My laughter filling the air around us.
"THERE'S PEOPLE IN THE WATER." I heard yet another crew member shout. Which caught my attention. It was then me and Caspian shared a confused look before running to the edge of the boat. At first I had though the crew members where trying to distract us both like they did many times when me can Caspian duel. But this time i was surprised to find out they weren't joking around as I looked over board I could see three figures splashing around in the water, gasping of air as they tried to out swim the boat.
I immediately threw myself over board. My body became tense as the ice cold water wrapped around it. Pulling myself to the surface I gasped for air as I swam to the 3 figures as more crew members had jump is as well to help the figures. I heard yelling from one particular figure. "Edmund! I dont want to go! I want to go back to England! I'm going back to England! I swam to another figure so I could avoid to be involved in that situation. Edmund? No it couldn't be. I didn't want to get my hopes up yo high in case it wasn't him.
