It didn't take long to get back to the boats and the crew had already return will the small amount of food and water that they could find.
"How much food and water did you find?" Caspian asked looking rather disappointed as he looked into the baskets.
"Its volcanic your majesty, not much grows." A sailor replied.
"Wheres Estuance?" Lucy questioned looking around the rocky area.
"I believe he's out not helping us load the boat." Reep replied.
"Did seem rather quiet when we got here." I added.
"For once" Edmund chuckled.
"ESTUANCE?" Lucy called "ESTUANCE!... Edmund I've got a bad feeling."
"I'll go find him." Edmund huffed letting out a sigh if annoyance.
"I'll go with you." I quickly spoke running to catch up with Edmund.
"EUSTACE!"
"EUSTACE!"
Our shouts filled the air as we made our way up as rocky hill, seeing no sign of the boy. I could tell we were getting closer to the volcano as the air felt hot in my lungs from the steam and the oxygen seem to thin. It was as we reach a edge we spotted it a valley of golden plates, jugs, horns, goblets and many other objects that touched the water that had once been there.
"Treasure" Edmund spoke standing beside me.
"Trouble you mean." I replied making my way down the rocks. I turned as Edmund rushed past me grabbing something off the floor, before turning to me to revile Estuance's shoe that had been half burnt."Edmund look" You spoke rushing over to the pile of burnt clothes and journal that laid only a short distance from Edmund.
"He was just a boy... I shouldn't have left him."
"It's not your fault Ed, no one knew something like this would happen."
"What do you think happened to him?"
"In this place could have been anything. And he wasn't the first first. Its Lord Arteasen." I spoke looking up to see the skeleton with burnt rages hanging from its body and the lords shield at its side. "Were do you think his swor..."I was cut short as Edmund picked up a sword within the golden objects holding it up to you to revile the lords sword. Before handing it over to me, allowing me to strap its sheath to my belt along with my own sword.
A low growl shake the ground below I as it echoed throughout the valley. I watched as the stones rattled at my feet. "Ed I think we should get out of here." Edmund was quick to grab my arm helping me back up the rocks and dragging me along as we ran back towards the beach and the crew members. As the boats were in sight Edmund let go allowing me to run at my own speed the rest of the way.
"Diana" Edmund shouted from behind me. As I turned on my heel you could see Edmund on the floor for a split second before something grabbed my waist lifting me higher into the air.
Looking around my body I could see its giant claws that held a tight grip on me. Following my gaze from its claws up to its body. I let out a gasp to see the thick scales and beating giant wings of a dragon.
Diana" Lucy screamed pulling me from my trance as it glided over the ship.
"LUCY" I scream now struggling to get free.
"LET ME GO" I screamed, kicking around trying to wiggle myself free. That when I saw the thick flames. Soring over the top of the rocks I could see the dragons thick flames spell out I AM EUSTACE."Eustace?" I asked looking up a the dragon, who now looked down on me, letting out a low grumble and nodding its head. "What have you got yourself into?... Estance do you think you could fly me back over the top of the ship I think we need to get everyone to the beach to decided what we are going to do."
Eustace nodded once more as he made his way over to the ship. During closer I could see the sailors readying their arrows once more.
"DON'T SHOOT... IT'S EUSTACE."
"Did you just say its Eustace?" Caspian questioned.
I nodded. "Caspian, I need you to grab Lucy, Reep and the Captain and meet us at the beach."
"Ok" Caspian nodded.
Estance gently placed me on the ground before he himself landed too.
"Diana" Edmund shouted, sword drew heading towards me.
"It's Ok... i'm fine. But Eustance isn't, I spoke looking up at the dragon."
"Eustance?"
"Eustace... I was so worried about you." Lucy spoke running up. "What happened?"
Eustace once more let out a low grumble as he dragged his fist along the floor trying to pull the bracelet off that seemed to be attached to him.
"He must of been tempted by the treasure." Edmund spoke.
"Well anyone knows that a dragons treasure is enchanted." Caspian spoke, earning a low growl from Eustace. "Well anyone from this world anyway." Caspian corrected.
I watched as Lucy walked over helping Eustance remove the bracelet. "Is there anyway to change him back?" Edmund asked.
"No that I know of." Caspian answered.
"Aunt Arbarter will not be please." Edmund spoke with worry.
"We can't leave him alone." Lucy spoke.
"Well we can't bring him on board your majesty." The captain replied.
"Captain you head back to the boat and take care of the others. We'll stay here and with Eustance." I spoke
"Very well your Majesty."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The night drew in rather quickly as we settled in for the night with Eustace's flames keeping you warm from the cool sea air. Me and Edmund had laid slightly away from the others enjoying the time on the beach together watching the stars.
"I've never seen these consolations before." Edmund spoke pointing out all the different stars he could see."Me neither, we're a long way from home... a very long way."
"Some further then others." Edmund spoke under his breath.
"Whats it like in your world?"
"It's nothing like Narnia, we don't have talking animals or mythical creatures, in fact the only thing about Narnia thats seems to be the same as my world is that fact that both worlds are constantly fighting wars."
"Have you fought in any of the battles in your world?"
"No, I've tried to but they won't accept me."
"Maybe I should go there and tell them that they should be honoured to have a great king fighting along side them."
I turned to face Edmund as he let out a small chuckle.
"Diana queen of Archenland in London, now that would be interesting."
"Well you've had many adventures in my world in Narnia, so why couldn't I have some adventures in your world?"
"Maybe one day you will"
