I don't think dinner was that bad, I replay it over as I'm getting ready for bed now.
when the water hits my skin it's hot, it burns my skin but it feels so good against the bruises.
They're almost gone.
Which means I'm almost done healing, and I won't have to be wearing sweats and a hoodie everyday now.

After I'm done showering, I notice Alastair's father, Marcus, is in my room, he's looking at my room and everything
"Uhm..is everything okay?" I ask, he looks up at me and smiles "of course, of course it is." He walks towards me.
"What can I help you with?" I ask, he clears his throat "I just thought you should know, Alastair doesn't like you." He tells me
My eyes widened "I'm sorry?" I say "Alastair, he doesn't like you in any way, and frankly he never will. So it's best if you two don't get any closer, yeah?" He says
I go and open my mouth to speak but he cuts me off "look, you're a pretty girl I guess, but I don't think you'd do much for him." He says, my eyes fill with tears
"I know you won't be good enough for him."
With that Marcus walks out of my room, closing the door, my body slides down the wall and I force myself to not almost cry.
I take a deep breath, and force myself off the floor, I try and let those thoughts go as I grab a book, being twisted games
I lay down on my bed, which is weird saying, and try my best to read before getting tired

When I wake up the sun is shining through the curtains, I roll over and try to go back to bed, which doesn't work.
I rub my eyes, sit up and try to wake up, I wonder if Alastair is home tod- he doesn't like you.
Right. Part of me wishes last night didn't happen, when Marcus said what he did.
I don't know why it bothers me, but it does. I roll out of bed, grab my phone then go to the bathroom, brushing my teeth.
When I leave my bathroom I open my bedroom door, freezing when I hear two voices.
I look around before going downstairs towards the voices, my eyes land on Carter.
Who's talking to Alastair while holding my frog stuffed animal.. "hey ali" Carter says when he sees me, I smile at him "hey, uh- what's that?" I ask referring to the frog in his hand.
"You forgot it when leaving, so here" he says handing me the frog stuffed animal, I nod and take it
I see Alastair watching in the corner of my eye, with amusement. "You could've texted me.." I mumble to Carter who shrugs
"I don't know sweetheart, it's kinda cute that you like those things." Alastair says, I glare at him "don't worry, she has more." Carter said.
"You guys are such haters." I deadpanned, Carter rolls his eyes "I should go" he says and I nod with a hint of sadness.
Knowing if my father knew he came over he wouldn't be happy. I watched as my brother left and sigh
"So, you like stuffed animals, yes?" Alastair asked, I glared "I'll hit you with one." I say, he nods his head "you can try, but with how short you are, it might not work."
"I'll still try."
"No one's stopping you, amore."
I feel my face flush with that nickname he just called me "that sounded like you want me to, are you falling for me, Alastair Diaz?" I tease
