Hidiya's pov
Demetrius eventually walked me back home. We said our goodbyes then I entered my empty house. Wanting to spend more time at Demetrius'. His family was there with him. He wasn't alone. He was in his happy place.
I have Milo... and Milo's barf.
I saw my moms note on the fridge and I texted her that I had eaten at a friends house. Then I went on to tell her about the rest of my day.
And then the cycle happens all over again.
I go to sleep. Wake up and don't see my parents.
I wanted to text him but I felt he would get irritated by me.
Then my phone vibrates.
Demetrius :) "Hey thanks for coming over earlier. My mom absolutely loves you. She says you can come back over anytime."
I smiled. So much that I shed a tear.
Me "Thanks for having me and your cooking is top tier. PLEASE become a professional chef! Since your mom loves me so much, I'll be back tomorrow :)) jk I don't wanna be a hassle."
Demetrius :) "You're already a hassle & I wasn't really planning on becoming a chef. But I'll think about it. Anyways I'm about to head to bed so I'll see you tomorrow."
Me "Wait Demetrius!"
Demetrius :) "Hm?" Me "Are you really tired?"
Demetrius :) "Not really. Why? What's up?"
Me "Not much it's not really anything to stay up for and waste your sleep on. Really I was just asking."
Demetrius :) "Hidiya. What's up?"
Me "Could you possibly stay up with me until I fall asleep. No one is home right now and I'm just feeling a little blue right now. Really, you could say no I won't be upset."
Demetrius :) "Sure I don't mind staying up a bit. Are you okay? Do you need me to go over there?"
Me "No no no no"
Yes.
Me "I'm fine it's just that my parents come home really late and it just gets kinda lonely sometimes being home alone. But I'm fine. I'm just gonna watch a movie or something until I fall asleep."
Demetrius :) "I'm coming over."
Within the next ten minutes I heard a knock.
I went downstairs to open the front door. He walked in then I led him to my room because I had forgotten to grab my phone. Once I had it in my hand. I texted.
Me "I'm so sorry if I kept you from going to sleep. You really didn't have to come over."
Demetrius :) "It's okay I was bored out of my mind anyways." He shrugged.
Me "I was going to put on a movie. Are you okay with that? I'm not sure how long you were planning on staying but I have Disney+"
Demetrius :) "I'm fine with anything"
Me "Okay feel free to sit on my bed. I'm going to set my computer up."
He sat down on my bed and I grabbed my computer then joined him. I sat up against the headboard then patted next to me to signal him to sit there. He sat there and I sat my computer on his lap to annoy him. But he didn't seem to mind.
I pointed to Tangled to see if he wanted to watch it. He shrugged. I clicked on it. Then we started watching.
It had just occurred to me. I never had a guy in my room. Not even my dad has been in my room.
The thought has quickly left my mind due to sleepiness. Next thing I knew. I was out.
