Hidiya's pov
I walked over to Demetrius' table. He looked up and our eyes met. He waved and I waved back. The red headed girl looked back.
She's so pretty !
"Omg! You're that girl that usually sits with Demetrius!"
I gave her a confused look.
She doesn't know my name.
Demetrius also had a confused look on his face.
"Oh that's right you're Hidiya."
She said my name wrong. Which is totally fine. It's normally that people say it wrong. But it just IRKED me that she's saying it in a sassy tone.
Demetrius tapped her and showed his phone.
Heed-e-ya
"Oh! I'm so sorry I pronounced it wrong. Anyways! I'm Donna! Don-ah. There now you can say it right! Oh wait you don't speak! Hahaha!"
This girl is getting on my last nerve.
Demetrius tapped her again with annoyed look on his face.
"Oh your name is Donna! Nice to meet you! We're Hidiya's friends. Did you get the pronunciation this time? It's Heed-e-ya." I felt a hand on my shoulder. Marla had gotten right between Donna and I.
Rosilea, Camrynn and Gabriella came to my side too.
Rosi touched Marla's shoulder and said.
"We all wanted to meet you! We saw you hanging with Demetrius and we thought you wanted some new friends." Rosi said with a smile.
This smile I had never seen on Rosi. Her smile was usually genuine full of happiness but this smile is just small, cute and there's no suspicion either.
"Oh! It's so nice to meet you guys! I just wanted to be friends with Demetrius so no thanks to your offer! It'd be really nice if you guys left now!"
"Okay" Rosilea said as Marla interrupted.
"No I think I'm okay here."
Donna frowned.
"Okay girls I think we're done all greeting each other. Donna it was nice to meet you." Camrynn said as she nudged my shoulder a little bit to go with her and the girls. I looked back at Demetrius. He genuinely looked upset. He waved at me.
He gave me a look. See you later?
I smiled.
Yeah.
He looked relieved then I turned around and went back to the girls table.
Me "Thank you girls for being there for me. You're truly the best!"
Gabi "Of course girl! We weren't gonna let her disrespect you like that. So what if you don't speak?! We still accept you the way you are!"
Rynn "Yeah you don't need to worry about her strawberry shortcake looking self. We got you"
Bob Marla "Camrynn! That's the meanest thing I've ever heard you say! But best believe if she tries something, I'll try to be as helpful as I can be."
These are the nicest girls.
Me "I can take care of myself but thank you guys so much! You're the best friends I've ever had! And thank you for accepting me."
Rosi "Ofc! Girly we're always here for you <3"
