Chapter 1: Meet My Boyfriend

Coreen's POV

(a/n: Coreen Yzabelle Valentino is  a 4th year student of South Pacific High. She's pure Filipina. She has 2 brothers namely, Collin Yale and Clyde Yves. Her mother is Catrine Anne Valentino and her father is Yvan Valentino. They're both nurses at Canada.)

At Coreen's House...

"B1, I'll go ahead. My school bus' already here. Baka ma-late na ako." i said to my brother upon hearing the honking sound of the school bus. Nakaupo siya sa sala habang nanunuod ng news.

"Okay Coreen. You take care, alright?" Kuya Cole said. I kissed him on the cheeks as I bid goodbye.

"Okidoki. Pasabi na lang kay B2 na umalis na ako. Tulog mantika talaga yun kahit kailan."  - sabi kong natatawa.

"Nanibago ka pa sa gunggong na yun. Osya sige na. Late ka na, Baby Girl." - sabi naman ni Kuya Cole.

I picked my bag and hurried to the gate and up to the bus. I sat on my favorite seat.

right next to Khaleb Adrian Santos, my ever handsome boyfriend. No one dares sit right next to him. Kasi naman sinasamaan niya ng tingin. Hihi. Ako lang kasi pwedeng umupo dun. Haha. My Khaleb's so sweet.

Upon seeing me, he took off his headphones and smiled at me. He's so cute! He's really got that effect on me everytime he smiles. Makes my knees go wiggle wiggle. Nakaka-addict nga ang nga ngiti niya eh. Ang cute cute kasi!

My Khaleb's like the cutest among the rest! Walang wala sila sa Khaleb ko. Sus.

I'm so happy and glad that he's my boyfriend.

Well, we've been together for like 1 year and 5 months. Ang tagal na namin! Wahahaha. Grabe! Natiis niya ako nang ganung katagal. Makulit kasi ako eh. Wahahaha.

He's sweet. Caring. Thoughtful. GENTLEMAN. And every good adjective to describe a boyfriend. He's simply awesome.

Some of the girls at school envy me. Why? Just because he's a headturner and not to mention the heartthrob at school. Hindi  nawawala ang Khaleb ko sa listahan ng pinakagwapo sa school. And mind you, he's always on top of the list. He never ranked down.Steady lang siya sa number one spot. And some of the writers of South Pacific Mag even said na if pwede daw na mas mataas na rank ang ibigay kay Khaleb ko, ibibigay nila. Ganun ka-gwapo ang Khaleb ko!

Yung ranking na yun, base sa mukha, talent, utak at yaman. Pinapublish yun once a month sa Magazine ng school namin.

Naiinggit nga yung ibang babae sakin, I rank #67 out of 100 girl students sa school namin. Pero ako parin ang pinili ni Khaleb ko. Sabi nila baka ginayuma ko daw si Khaleb. Hindi naman ako marunong nun eh. Tsaka, excuse me lang! Nagulat nga rin ako na bigla niya akong nilapitan dati. And said, may gusto siya sakin. Oh diba! Nganga ang ibang girls!

Halos nga kantiyawan nila ako araw araw dahil magkasama kami ng Khaleb ko.

Well, I can't blame them. And they can't blame me.

He courted me for like 6 months. Then I gave him my sweetest "YES" on the 3rd of October.

I answered him at the school pavement when, with all effort, he sang in the middle of the pavement (he's in a band), with the whole student body as witnesses. I think that's the sweetest thing a guy can do for me. Ang ambisyosa ko din! First boyfriend ko yan. Hahaha.

Let's skip the cheesy part. Balik na tayo sa present time. Hihi. Kinikilig kasi ako mag-kwento.

"Hi!" he said then gave me a peck.

I still blush, everytime he does that. Funny right? Eh ang sweet kasi eh. Hindi talaga mag-uumpisa at magtatapos ang araw na hindi niya ako nahahalikan. Be it on the lips or kahit sa cheeks lang. Those gestures makes me just wanna be with him forever. If forever really exist.

"Hi" In return, I gave him my sweetest smile.

He put on his headphones back and then intertwined his hand on mine.

I smiled on that manner.

I leaned on his shoulders and fell asleep.

A soft tap on my cheeks woke me up.

I opened my eyes to see that we're the only ones left on the bus.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" I said frowning. Ang daya talaga ng lalaking 'to.

"I just like to watch you sleeping" he pinched my nose.

"Awww." i pouted. Medyo masakit kasi eh. Naku 'tong lalaking 'to. Kung di lang siya gwapo eh. Hahaha.

I picked my bag and went down the bus.

He's right next to me. and again, he intertwined our hands.

Everybody's staring. But the hell we care about them. Wala akong pakialam sa kung ano man ang kaya nilang itapon sakin. Be it matatalas na tingin or masasakit na salita. Khaleb's my boyfriend and no matter what happens, he'll be my forever.

He accompanied me to my classroom. We're not classmates. But how I wish we were. Class A siya. Class B ako. Medyo bobits kasi ako. Medyo lang naman. Hahaha.

"See you at break time." - he said smiling still not letting go of my hand.

"Okay. I'll see you then." - sabi kong nakangiti rin. "Uhm, Khaleb, you can let go now." - sabi kong nakangisi dahil hindi parin niya binibitawan ang kamay ko.

"I won't dare let you go." - he said seriously. And that made me laugh.

"Silly! I wasn't referring to something like that. Yung tinutukoy ko ay yung kamay ko na hawak mo parin. Di kasi ako makapasok eh." - sabi kong nakatawa.

"Oh. I'm sorry." - he said shyly tsaka binitawan ang kamay ko.

He kissed my forehead.

"I'll miss you." - he said sweetly. I can feel the feverish rush on my cheeks.

"I'll miss you more." - I said then gave him a quick kiss on the cheeks.

I'm giggling while rushing my way to my desk. I sat on my desk right next to, Allyzon. My bestfriend. And Khaleb's childhood friend.

That's why we got this close up to the extent that she became my Bestfriend, because she's Khaleb's childhood friend. She shares with me everything about my Khaleb.

But there's something in her that I don't like.

She likes my Khaleb.

Paano ko nalaman? Sinabi niya sakin. Paano niya sinabi? Diretsahan.

'I like Khaleb since elementary days. Siguro dahil palagi kaming magkasama and he always defends me everytime they bully me. He's always got my back. From then on, Khaleb's been very dear to me. But don't worry, I don't plan on stealing him. Trust me."

Those are the words that I recall she said when she confessed that she likes my Khaleb.

But since I treat her as a bestfriend, I trust her.
