Chapter 6

  "Wow! I never thought I'd see one of these!" As Lily went up to it to pet it. Everyone watched in amazement.

" Lily! Don't get hurt!" Her father said concernedly.

"Don't worry dad! It's a cat! In my memories, some people had these as pets. They let them live with them and they took care of them. Like having a kid!" Lily said very excited. "Can we keep him? Please dad?" She said, trying to persuade him.

"If you think you may, but you must feed him with your own food." He said trying to be nice as possible

"Thank you so much dad!" She hugged him very tightly. They all began to bike again. When they were biking, Fiona thought about her memories and remembered what a pet was.

"Hey Lily!" Fiona shouted trying to call her attention

"Yes Fiona?" She said back to her bicycling towards her.

"What are you going to name your cat?" She asked with curiosity and a smile.

"Hmm, I don't know what" she thought for a second "Gabriel, in honor of Gabe!" She said very joyfully.

"That sounds great!" Asher said who was already bicycling beside Fiona. "I bet Jonas would love that if we meet him."

"When we meet him" Jonas's father said "We will meet him." He said with a stern and determined voice.

"Yes we will, sorry for my language" Asher said nervously.

" I accept your apology, we just can't think like that." He said "Anyways it's almost midnight, maybe we should take a rest or all of you not tired?"

"I'm not tired" Christopher replied

"I'm not sleepy, just biking tired." A woman said and everyone agreed with he.

"Ok, since all of you aren't ready to sleep, let's just eat and then get back to biking."

Fiona and Asher sat next to each other and ate the mashed potatoes and chicken they got for dinner last night, only eating a tiny bit to save.

"Hey Gabe, want some chicken?" Asher asked the cat Jokingly. The cat meowed backed and Asher threw a tiny piece of chicken towards it.

2 more days passed and it wasn't as unbearable as the giver said it would be. Fiona and Asher got to know a lot about the people on their way to elsewhere. There was a woman named Lia who was a geneticist and she told Fiona how much her red hair bothered the other geneticist, but she actually liked it. And Asher got to know 2 other people named Joey and Samantha, they've been best friends since they were 3's and wanted to go on an adventure with each other. It reminds him of Asher, Fiona and Jonas always wanting to do something exciting together. On the 3rd day something started to happen. They were almost out of food and their legs were tired. There was white stuff in the air. What is this? Fiona asked herself. She opened her hand and it looked so intriguing and intricate every single white thing was different in its own way.

"Wow! This is soo amazing!" Lily said with a big smile on her mouth "What is this?"

"It's Snow" Lia replied "It used to be a part of us, our community, but when we chose to do the sameness" she said feeling the snow.

"Hey look at this!" Lily pointed at Gabe covered in snow.

"Wow, he looks amazing!" Asher exclaimed, laughing so much with Fiona almost running out of breath.

"Hey Asher, look at this!" Fiona exclaimed, pointing at the snowperson she just made. Then all of a sudden, Asher looked at it and ran through it. "Hey Asher!! I loved that snowman!" Fiona said laughing. Then she looked at her fingers and they were blue.
