"Did we really have to start on a rooftop?" She asked

"Did we really have to start on a rooftop?" She asked. Standing on the rooftop was fine, having to jump off and swing was the most scariest shit she could imagine.

"It's just a leap of faith." He shrugged, as he revealed his web shooters and webbed her, pulling her closer to him.

"Nah I'm only kidding E, now, I'm no teacher but I'll try my best."

Step One: Take It Seriously

"Take it seriously, at most times, now im not saying don't have fun, just don't be daft." He smiled, he was excited to show her all the cool things. He didn't want to keep it a secret but it was something he could never tell.

"I thought we were going to swing around the city when you told me we were going to train or whatever." She frowned as she crossed her arms.

"Slow down girl, you would look mental if I gave you web shooters out of the blue without knowing anything." He chuckled at the sight of her expression, she then understood and frowned even more.

That would be embarrassing.

Step Two: Don't get distracted

"Don't get distracted, every time I got distracted, I probably got hit, trust me it's no fun."

"Noted." She gave him a thumbs up, but only then he showed her his hands. He had her phone and her keys.

"Wait what how'd you-"

"Don't get distracted." He shook his head as he furrowed his eyebrows, watching her try to defend herself with words.

"That doesn't count, you were talking to me.!" She shouted as she gave up on defending herself and accepted it.

"Don't watch the mouth, watch the hands."

Step Three: What's step three?

"Step three is non-existent, that was pretty much it." He searched through his bag, pulling out a homemade mask.

"The masks at the store were absolutely horrendous, not that it matters but, still." "Put it on."

"Oh my gosh, I could totally die."

She was standing on the side of the building, apparently sticking onto it like glue. She still couldn't believe she could do this because of a little spider.

"I would never let you die E, not on my watch." He stated, walking behind her. He made sure he was safe with her.

"Remember, stay calm and fly." He paused. "Not literally fly, please don't try, not here." Putting his hands out.

"First task, run down and flip onto the streetlight."

"I can't do flips."

"It's an instinct, trust, I'm no gymnast or anything." He reassured her as he waited patiently.

She was nervous, but she didn't want to let him down so she listened. She ran as she got to the edge and pushed back onto the wall, flipping and instantly landing it.

"Can we swing around now?!" She shouted as he saw her jump up and down on the streetlight.

Not being able to say no, he shook his head and laughed as he jumped, landing right next to her.

"Perfect landing."

He pulled out two web shooters, they were specifically for her. Now, he didn't know that she got bit by the spider, he was messing around one day late at night and decided to design some in a way that reminded him of her.

"These are for you, it's purple..I know you like the colour purple." He handed them to her as he saw her face lit up.

"Dude, these are amazing!" Eliza jumped and hugged him, forgetting they were on a streetlight. Hobie used his web shooters, and webbed onto the pole, making sure they both wouldn't fall. With one arm free and the other occupied, he wrapped his arm around her waist, hugging her back.

"It's basically a pattern. You shoot, swing, and then let go." "One and Two."

She was confused.

"I'll go first and then you follow yeah?" He nodded as he proceeded to shoot the web and swung onto the next building.

Okay, One and Two Eliza.

"Push down onto it or else it'll shoot out lightly!" He shouted, waiting afar.

Copying the same movements, she practically got everything down. She swung as he did, passing by a couple of birds. This was so cool.

"Why couldn't it have bit me sooner?" She shouted as she landed next to him.

"Timing ain't it?"

—-

"When do I get a suit?" She asked excitedly.

They were in his room, in his own apartment, in which he had just gotten. Fresh start.

"Soon E, don't worry." He chuckled as he laid down, staring at the ceiling.

"Were you ever planning on telling me you were spider-punk.?" She questioned as she laid beside him.

"I couldn't, or maybe I was too afraid." He sighed, "y'know many people still don't approve of me going around the city swinging."

"I approve." She turned her head to face him, as he did the same. Inches away from each other.

"That's because we're going to be together soon."

...

"..like saving the city together soon." Realizing what he said, his face reddened as he looked away from her, back at the ceiling.

"We're literally superheroes."

"Just the two of us."
