"So who are you?"

A girl suddenly popped out of a tree, dangling on a thick branch upside down. She was facing a man with brown, shaggy hair and a blue and white striped work shirt; leaning on a workbench with one hand and holding a screwdriver in the other.

"JESUS, YOU SCARED ME KID". The brown haired man grasped the clothing on his chest, his hand moving up and down as he breathed.

"Sorry, I just see you here every night and I was always so curious on what you're working on".

"How did you even get in here, you'll be in danger if you don't leave".

"It's a junkyard..."

"please I don't want you getting in any trouble, you have to go".

The man tried to shoo the girl away but she didn't budge. He let out a loud groan, sinking his head into his hands.

"I'll be in the same amount of trouble if I leave anyways so why can't I stay?"

"What do you mean? What kind of trouble are you in?"

She turned upright and sat on the tree branch, looking down at her hands. Looking at the girl now, she had long purple hair with a small bow in the back, light gray eyes, glistening and almost blinding in the moonlight, and a scar on her left shoulder but instead of normal scarred flesh, it was glowing, shining like a starry sky, full of pastel colors like a galaxy.

"Your shoulder.. what happened to it?" The man reluctantly asked.

"There was this gas. It was green and it took over my entire village. People were going crazy, their powers out of control. I was the only one who survived but now I don't know where I am and police are after me". She looked down, her bangs hiding her face as tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

"I didn't do anything but they're saying I killed people and that I have a bounty on my head but I would never kill anyone. Now I have nowhere to go since everyone thinks I'm a criminal".

The man knew exactly how this happened. Humarise was looking for her. He didn't know why but what he did know was that she had a quirk that could be beneficial to their cause or she was a threat to their society.

It was terrible that innocent families, towns, and villages were being tested on before unleashing their final plan. That's why this man is here in the first place, to put an end to humarise before it's too late. What he was out here for every night was a way for this cruel plan to end.

Why not have a little bit of help?

"I'll be here everyday if you ever need me kid. You can keep me company if you'd like".

She brought her head up to look at him, her eyes wide in shock. Was he serious?

"You're serious? But why? Why are you not pushing me away like everyone else? I don't even know you so how can you believe me?"

"Well I tried but you didn't leave"

"Yeah but not like everyone else does, they just ignore me or tell me to get lost and tell me I'm scum, you pushed me away for my safety and cared about my well being, why?"

"I.. I just do. I may not know you but I can tell that you're an honest kid, a strong and determined one at that. You're still putting in an effort to survive after everything in your life was turned upside down."

She couldn't even speak after that. Everyone pushed her away or threatened to send her away because of these accusations but standing right in front of her, there was a man that didn't even care and just wanted to see her happy, to see her loved. She hadn't felt that in a while.
