Chapter 4: Nebula Killer

This is a small filler chapter on Astraea's life after she went on the run and in hiding. It's a small description of her back story on how humarise affected her life.

There's a moment in time where you meet someone who walks into your life and flips your upside down world back upright. Someone your soul was meant to find. Someone who would save you and be a sign that you deserve more than you can ever imagine because if you didn't, you would've never found them.

Eddie showed her what that felt like. He cared for her when she lost everyone else in her life. It was as if the universe was saving her from falling over again. Her soul was destined to find Eddie but not for the reasons she imagined.

She pictured the two of them side by side, being in his care and living life happily. The term "Father Figure" was an understatement on what she considered Eddie as to her. He was her hope, her light, her happiness, her family. He was her savior. A save in her own little universe.

But in reality, nothing lasts forever. At least for her. So when she couldn't find the man she stumbled on years ago, she felt her world slowly rotate to it's unsound state yet again.

"Eddie? Eddie are you here?" Astraea looked around the junkyard to look for the man she spent time with everyday. She looked near the table they worked at everytime, she looked around the broken cars and slashed tires, she looked in the run down warehouse but Eddie was nowhere to be found.

'Maybe he's just late? He wouldn't leave me alone here.' Astraea thought. She kept walking around when two envelopes caught her eye. She picked them up, the one on the left titled "READ THIS FIRST" and the other titled "From Eddie".

She opened the left one first and noticed it was short. It read..

To Astraea..

You don't know me but I'm one of Eddie's colleagues. My name is Alan and he entrusted me to carry out the plan of putting an end to Humarise.

Flect Turn has created a plan to put an end to heroes and people with quirks to create a world of "innocent humans" meaning keeping quirkless people alive. I'm sure you know what the deactivation key is for already so there's no need to explain that.

You must stay in hiding as Flect knows about you and your times with Eddie.

Astraea's eyes went wide. She knew what she was getting into but they've done so much to keep their meetings secret every day. Eddie gave up his safety for the sake of humanity but did he give up his safety for her too?

They will be looking for you and Eddie placed his trust in me to carry out this plan. I'm so sorry pressure is being placed on you and you have to hide alone but Eddie taught you everything you need to know to stay safe and stay out of sight. Eddie told me to tell you to read the other note when the missions complete and to deliver the three letter in the briefcase to his kids when you receive it.
