"It's officially been a year now" Astraea sat on the grass, her black hood shielding the setting sun from her face, "I know you gave your life for this but did it have to be so sudden?".

Astraea lit the incense next to Eddie's picture, eating a box of madeline cookies next to his grave. She made a small grave site for him in the junkyard where they stayed all these years, tinkering with his final project.
"I made this memorial not just for you but for your kids when I find them. Alan told me you left them letters in the briefcase". She offered a cookie to his grave.

"I know you said your kids love these and I do too actually, they're my favorite but I never told you that no matter how many times you ate them in front of my face." She scoffed at herself, shaking her head.

Part of her felt wrong being here. She shouldn't be able to mourn him so regularly more than his own kids should, but then again he was taken away from them.
"You know I was never good at expressing myself Ed so you probably guessed I don't have a lot to say to you. I swear I'll find your family once I have that key and that briefcase and they'll know the truth." She popped open a bottle of sake and poured it on his grave.

"I know you loved this when I stole a bottle for you one time so drink up old man. Thank you for taking care of me all these years". She left the bottle on his grave and packed up her stuff, throwing on her hood over her short red hair.

"Alan" She picked up her phone, "What's his progress?"

"He should begin with his plan about a year from now, that's when you'll strike. Until then, I've got you a partner. His name is Dex and he works with the police."

"I told you I'd rather work alone and you know I don't trust anyone else but you, Eddie, and Aurora". She sighed.

"I know but if you trust me, you can trust that I picked a respectable partner for you". Damn, he got her there.

"Fine but you better be right. I'll talk later, be safe."

"Always", She hung up and pulled a gold locket from her pocket. It was a picture of Eddie with his three kids and a beautiful woman in the back of them all, presumably his wife.
Astraea blinked her tears away before placing his necklace in her pocket and running off.

"Hey can you guys hang in the front while I change into my suit?" She opened up her briefcase and pulled out a black and purple suit and a note saying,

"I know purple and black are your favorite colors, there's also some daggers, one of your energy guns from home, and some smart glasses. Stay safe".

"I love that girl" Astraea thought as she closed the small curtain in front of the pilots cabin and slipped the suit on to her body.

The suit was tight but not too tight and had long fingerless black gloves with a purple gradient. The suit was a turtle neck bodysuit with shorts, open shoulders and a black hood, a purple stripe trailing down from each side down her thighs, and pouch belt attached to the hip of the suit.
