This chapter will be right after the girls left the house, so nothing happened to Scarlett yet.

Ross POV

The second Rydel and Scar left the house, my brothers and Ratliff stared at me, their eyebrows raised. I raised my own, unsure of what they were doing.

"Uh, what?"

"Bro, you've turned into such a softie." Rocky commented. "I have never seen you like this with any other girl you've dated."

"Okay, first of all, I only made it to the first date with all the other girls," I told him. "And I have not turned into a softie. Me wanting to be with my girlfriend is normal."

"Normal, yes. Basically chasing after her when she was leaving, no." Ryland shook his head at me, amused.

I threw the nearest pillow at him. "Oh, shut it."

"Dude, chill. We're only playing with you." Riker laughed. "You really love her, don't you?"

I nodded, a smile on my face. "I do."

"Have you gotten any yet?"

I stared at Ryland, resisting the urge to slap him. "Do you have a filter?"

He grinned. "Nope. Now answer the question."

"He's been getting it for months." Rocky answered, and I shot him a glare.

All the guys whistled, and I rolled my eyes. "You guys are idiots. I don't bug you with questions about your sex life."

"That's because it's non-existent."

"Dude!" Almost simultaneously, we all threw pillows at Ryland, laughing when he fell off the couch.

Once all the questions about Scarlett and my sex life diminished, we all decided to head outside and play some basketball. It was a nice day out, and we didn't feel like being cooped up in the house all day. Plus, I needed to get the scenes from that disgusting movie out of my head. I was definitely going to be scarred for life.

Just as I threw the basketball and watched it sink into the net, my phone went off. I picked up immediately when I read the caller I.D.

"Hey, Del. What's up?"

Sobs were the first thing I heard, and the smile I had on my face completely disappeared. "R-Ross, i-it's S-Scarlett."

I could almost feel the color draining from my face. "What happened?" The guys all stopped playing and focused their attention on me, but I paid no mind to them.

"J-just come t-to the h-hospital. P-please." She hiccuped and hung up, her answer leaving my body almost frozen.

"Bro, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost." Rocky noticed.

"That was Del." I told them, my voice slightly wavering. "Scarlet's in the hospital." Thousands of scenarios were running through my mind, and my worry for my girlfriend was increasing by the second. If we didn't get to the hospital now, I would break.

Shock was evident on their faces the moment the words escaped my lips, and the need to get to the hospital was becoming stronger. It was clear that my brother's and Ratliff were scared and worried as well, so we all piled up in the car and drove off to the hospital in record time. It was deadly silent the whole way there, and I was clenching my jaw to stop myself from crying.

In all the years that I went out with girls, I had never been connected to one as much as I was with Scarlett. She was the one I wanted to do everything with, and she was the one I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. She loved me for me, while the other girls just liked me for my looks. I knew Scarlett was different from the others the moment I met her.
