Chapter 19

Missing key? What on earth do they mean by missing key?

I thought they were coming here to kill me because I had powers, but now they are making it sound like they want to use me.

'I thought they wanted to kill me. How am I a missing key?'

"Didn't your army want to attack and kill her?"

The man smirked wickedly as his gaze was fixed on me. "We did. That is until we found out something."

A low grumble developed in my chest in anger of them not getting to the point with all of this and dragging it on for no reason.

The man held his hands up in mock surrender. "Calm down, your majesty. You see, our plan involves the survival of rogues. The failure of the kingdom. The destruction of the selling of girls."

He paused and placed his hands together behind his back and lowered his head momentarily before whipping it back up and staring into my eyes.

"It all started when they ripped my daughter away from us. Just because she had turned of age for the process of selling." He sucked in a sharp breath and grit his teeth in anger. "It all started with this blasted kingdom and it will die with this kingdom." He brought his arms to his sides and clenched his fists together tightly.

I snarled my lip in anger. 'You think I don't know what it's like to go through that? I am here to try and fix it. Without destroying it.'

Neither Timothy or Anthony repeated her words causing her to growl at them. "You haven't even given the new kingdom a chance to fix all of it. We have a new queen now. One that has been through it all and wants to change it."

The man took a deep breath. "It's too late for change now. It has already begun and we will finish it. Beginning with your sweet mate and King."

I have had enough of this crazy lunatic. I knelt down in a stance ready to pounce. A loud, threatening growl erupted in the room and I took of charging towards the man.

I quickly fell to the floor before even reaching them as a sharp pain ripped through my side. Nothing was around me. I crumpled in a ball of pain on the floor.

What was happening to me?

Yall probably hate me for this ending and not posting for the longest time!! I'm so sorry babes!! Things have been so absolutely crazy and hectic lately and now I'm traveling for five weeks away from my boyfriend to South Dakota and then to Montana and I've been busy with finishing up high school and graduating even though I didn't walk the aisle and getting everything ready for college and it's just been so crazy and I truly apologize for not writing for a while but I will try my hardest to get back on track with it!!! I love yall so much and thank you for your constant support!!
