I wrote the upcoming scene like three months ago. TvT we're finally here. Back on track.

Also, I know I haven't been mentioning read counts on here, but seriously, thanks so much to all of y'all for sticking around and getting me to 10k+ reads!! ^-^
==============================

][ Previously: Yeah turns out inserting herself isn't as fun as Zeya thought. She uses stolen info to bribe her way into UA and gets a terrible social life for it. Meanwhile, others have found a way to "replicate" Chisaki's formula and already people all over are starting to willingly remove their quirks, including Hagakure and Toni for their own personal reasons. And Mob regrets going to UA now. ][

     "W- wait!! Shouji!!" Izuku ran up behind his now ex-classmate as he and Hagakure started their leave. After a few hours of after school fun just hanging out with everyone, it was time for the both of them to go home and reunite with their families.

     Shouji turned to face the greenette as he skidded to a halt on the sidewalk leading toward the exit. "I... I want to... I want to know why you decided to remove your quirk!! I can sort of understand Hagakure's reason.. but yours is so amazing! You could be an amazing hero with it someday!--"

     "-If I wanted to be a hero..."

     "...Huh?"

     Shouji sighed and dropped his chin for a second, processing how he should explain this. The poor greenette was so distraught. Confused above all else. Having once been quirkless himself, he wanted to know why someone would want to give up their quirk, especially someone on the track to becoming a hero someday! Shouji could tell judging by his face that Izuku needed a little a better explanation than most.

     "Hagakure.. you can go on without me. I'll catch up in a bit." The girl nodded and waved one last time to Izuku.

     "Byee, Izuku! By the way, I had a crush on you for a little bit!!" She then turned and trotted off. Izuku's face flushed bright red.

     "Wait, WHAT?!?" That was possible??? Shouji chuckled and patted the shorter boy's head.

     "I get it. Quirks are usually so important to a person's identity. They are just as much a part of us as an arm or a leg, after all... Heh, for me I'm being more than literal. ... I know this change might be hard for you to accept, but hear me out first real quick!.. I was what people called a freak... The only reason I wanted to be a hero in the first place was to make that lable at least mean something. Now, though, I realize how self centered that mindset was. I didn't actually care about becoming a hero to save lives. I just wanted to morph the identity others kept giving me into something good. And, for that, I decided I wasn't fit for the role anyway... N-now that doesn't mean I still don't want to help people! I've always wanted to do that! But...I never really cared much about fancy costumes or flashy powers. I would be just as happy working as a cop or a firefighter. I've actually been thinking about joining the police force. Both Hagakure and I. ... Joining UA sure has given me a lot to think about... I know.. this new 'cure' gave me an easy out. I get that... But, now, at least I can focus on something other than proving my worth to a bunch of people who never cared in the first place... I'm..sorry. I just hope you guys will understand."

     The two stood again in silence as the sun set over the UA campus. Izuku felt like he was beginning to understand now. He just...didn't know why his classmates would step away from the life of a hero like this... He knew the literal reason his classmate just gave him, but in no way could he empathize with such feelings! .. He had, after all, spent his whole life wanting one thing and one thing only.
