================================He was an Esper. A pretty rare type of quirk user in Japan. There were quirks that messed with your physical form, quirks that had something to do with elements or creating something, and then there was the insanely broad category simply labeled "psychic abilities." Thanks to the culture pre quirks, "psychics" stand a little separately from other powerful beings. Their powers typically have more to do with the supernatural, dipping their toe into the more spiritual aspects of the world around them.
Shigeo Kageyama was one of these Espers, his limits not yet known. And unlike the other quirk users of this era, he felt quite alone. His home town wasn't known for having many powerful members. It was still normal to have no supernatural abilities. Those who did were rare, hardly ever running into one another. Still, he felt comfort in knowing there were others out there like him, though few and far between they were.
He had made several friends like him already actually, including but not limited to Serizawa, Hanazawa, and his master, Reigan. His brother had actually been found out to be an Esper as well, which unfortunately led to a little family drama... But that was resolved quickly and now the brothers are closer than ever.
Yeah, thinking back, Shigeo, or just Mob, had done quite a bit this past year: broke up a cult, helped take down a criminal organization, get to throw buildings around like they were nothing.
...His power had grown so much, even since he was a child...
"I'm going home early if you don't mind, Master Reigan." Mob stood from his little box desk and announced softly over the room. Reigan and Serizawa were just lounging around anyway. Reigan updating his website. Serizawa reading a book about communication.
"Uh, sure. Not like there is anything else for you to do t'day." The blond head of their little business waved the teen off without even looking up.
"Safe travels, Mob!" The brunette removed his gaze from the book and waved. Mob mirrored, smiling faintly.
"Thanks.."
He had a lot on his mind. Hardly even noticed the green spirit, Dimple, looming over his shoulders.
"Wrong way, Shige."
"-Oh. Thanks." Mob turned down the other sidewalk where his home actually was, still staring down at his shoes.
"...Wow, you must really be thinking hard about something today. What is it? Is it Tsubomi~?" The spirit wiggled his eyebrows. Mob's cheeks blushed ever so faintly.
"N-no."
"Oh come on! You can tell me!"
"It's...nothing."
"Awhh! You're no fun!" To be frank, Mob had no idea what he was really thinking about. He had a lot to mull over is all. As mentioned before, a ton had happened in this year alone. His crush had become one of the least of his worries.
Or at least that's what it seemed like to him.

"You're home early." Ritsu, Shigeo's little brother, commented as he passed the kitchen.
"Today's been pretty slow. Might be because the festival down town."
"Yeah.. Someone in the council mentioned that. Hard to believe one of the top heroes grew up here. This town of all places. Heh." Ritsu's calm eyes stared out the window as his hands dried a dish with a towel.
