Chapter V Calm Before The Storm

The next morning....

Jill woke up with her head still on Lincoln's chest the pillow she was using last night had a bit of drool on it.

Jill was thankful that she woke up before Lincoln, cause she would be embarrassed if he had noticed.

Jill got off Lincoln's chest and she could hear the thumb of his heart, it was a steady bump-bump. Jill made her way to the shower her hair was a mess from last night's rain, she stood in front of the shower and undressed until she was only in her underwear.

Jill went over to the mirror to check herself over something she had done since that night, she knew she wasn't infected but the woman couldn't help herself it was part of her routine now.

She had kept it from both Lincoln and Brad, she would also check to see if Lincoln was unaffected as well, she had been doing every night they slept together, she knew it was wrong but the paranoia had got to her and if Lincoln was infected her world would crumble and fall apart.

Jill took the last of her clothes off and then stood under the shower, she let the hot water just wash over her, Jill could feel the stress fade away and she started to relax.

Lincoln woke up to the sound of the water running in the other room. Lincoln noticed the time on the clock it read 10:30 he decided to go grab himself and Jill some breakfast.

He put on one of his grey shirts that showed off his abs perfectly, Lincoln left the motel and made his way over to the diner.

Walking into the same diner he entered when he first arrived in this shitty place, Lincoln smiled thinking of his first encounter with Jill he never thought he would be in a situation like this two months later.

"Mor'in dar'lin I take it you want your usual" the waitress asked with that sweet smile Lincoln got acquainted with over the past few months.

"If you don't mind love thank you" Lincoln replied.

Lincoln then made way to the last seat at the booth, while waiting for his food he noticed out the window, a young couple walking hand with each other.

"Wonder If I'll find something like that one day?" Lincoln murmured to no one In particular.

About five minutes later the waitress came over with Lincoln's order two beacon muffins and an orange juice for himself and for Jill the same but replaced the orange juice with a coffee.

"Thanks for that darling" Lincoln smiled and handed over the money for the meal.

"No trouble dar'lin tell that girl of your she's lucky to have y'all"

Lincoln just nodded and made his way back to his motel, about halfway home he got nudged by a young man no older than fifteen maybe sixteen.

I didn't take long for Lincoln to realize what had happened the young man had pickpocketed him and did a terrible job at it.

Lincoln sighed " If you are going to steal from someone try not to be so obvious about it alright cupcake."

Before the young man could run however, Lincoln pulled out what the boy stole which was his wallet and also the young man's phone.

Lincoln threw the phone back at the boy "be glad I'm in a good mood this morning but next time pick a better mark"

The boy just nodded and ran as fast as he could the other direction.

Lincoln then made it back to the motel and put on his fakest smile he could as he greeted the owner, he definitely was not a fan of the lady but she let him stay for cheap and didn't mind Jill popping in and out all hours of the day.
