Chapter XVII Valdelobos

Leon and Lincoln were dispatched to Valdelobos, the remote mountainous village in Spain. The US Secret Service received some credible intelligence suggesting that Ashley Graham, codenamed Baby Eagle and the kidnapped daughter of President Graham, was last seen in the area.

The duo were sitting in back of a police vehicle In the front seat. Officer Mario Fernandez Castaño  was informing Leon and Lincoln about the frequent disappearances in the region, including a group of hikers who went missing the previous week.

The officer's voice was barely audible, muffled by the loud wailing sound of a storm outside. Heavy rain and thunderous wind were beating against the windows of the car. Leon and Lincoln were wearing bulletproof vests with Leon his badge, the duo had Glock pistols attached to their sides.

"We're almost there," said Officer Castaño, as the trio were driving. The road was dark, lit up only by the headlights. They were driving into the middle of nowhere.Officer Castaño, stopped to take a leak, the officer heard a disturbance coming from the forrest. He grabbed his flashlight and took out his Glock pistol, as he began walking into the darkness, away from the safety of the police vehicle.

After twenty minutes Leon and Lincoln decided to check on the the officer the duo came across and old house that looked abandoned. It was covered with ivy and overgrown trees.

Leon and Lincoln entered the house and discovered the missing officer tied to a chair. His was dead, his eyes were gouged out and his tongue cut off.

"Holy shit!" exclaimed Leon.

"What the hell is going on around here?" wondered Lincoln, "this has got to be the work of a sick psycho.

The duo left the house and decided to break further into the village in search of Ashley as they entered the village all the inhabitants seemed to not notice or care that they were there.The village was a small about fifteen villagers and they were all wearing cloaks and hoods. The villagers were either staring at the ground or looking towards the sky.

"Something isn't right about these people," said Lincoln, "they look like a bunch of zombies."

Leon and Lincoln broke into the church using a nearby window. There was a priest giving a sermon. There was a woman dressed in a red cloak lying down on an alter.

"That must be Ashley," said Leon, as he pointed towards the altar, "come on let's get to get her"

"Hold it," said Lincoln, "you go get her, while I take care of these freaks.

Lincoln took out his gun and shot the priest and the rest of the villagers began running towards him they were clearly not human anymore.
He kept shooting them, until they fell to the floor, dead.

Leon had ran up the stairs and was making his way towards the girl.

"Ashley," said Leon as he gently shook her.

The girl suddenly woke up.
"Oh Leon," said the girl, "thank god you're here.

The girl had a huge smile on her face. Leon was shocked. He wasn't expecting her to know him.

The Britt ran over to the duo "you alright little lady?," asked Lincoln.

"Yes, I am," replied Ashley, "now let's get out of here."

Leon and Lincoln looked at each other with puzzled expressions. They were both confused.

"Wait," said Leon, "how did you know my name?"
