The smell of coffee and cake doughnuts fills my nose as I walked into the nearby cafe. My head is still throbbing from whatever the fuck I drank last night so I needed something to calm it down. I ordered some decaf tea and a honey muffin before paying the barista. I was looking at my phone while waiting for my order when I heard his voice once again. "Hello my sexy detective~" he smirked and I shook my head. "Tch... I'm now convinced you're stalking me" I said. "Well for starters this is the best cafe in the city. Second of all I was already at the factory and told you I was going to pixies. The only time I didn't was when I followed you to your apartment that one day. Sooooo I don't think I am" he said. "Fair point...." I replied. "So last night was amazing~" he whispered and I felt my cheeks heat up. "It was a drunk mistake" I growled. "Still~ I would like to do it again~" he said in a seductive tone. "Order for Echidna!" The barista yelled. "I got to go..." I said and got my order then left. "I love when he plays hard to get~"
I sipped on my tea as I'm looking through blue beards records and sees he has a past of dealing. I couldn't wait to get back to work but for now I should relax. As I started to slowly drift off to sleep I started to hear the floor creak like someone was walking on it. Before I could react a rag was placed over my nose and mouth.
In seconds everything went black.
