THE PAPER PLANE

Playing in a field, with no toys to use
A paper plane I suggested, but that plane you refused

Saying it is childish, something of a bore
Now that paper plane granted wishes no more

I was hoping we could make one, to throw in the abyss
Write a wish on the paper, my feelings no longer dismissed

But with your rejection, your feelings remained the same
When asked who you love, I know you won't call my name

So I surrender, my heart soaring through the air
And this heart loving you last because it has no more love to spare

I will forget you, like the plane that never came back into these hands
When you realize your true feelings, I believe you already missed your chance

Now this time, you are the one to make a paper plane
But I don't think its magic will ever be the very same

Yet you still tried, a plane after the other
And seeing your determination, should I again be your... lover?
