Chapter 9

I was looking around for my dance 'partner'.

Wherever I went the bracelet wouldn't beep!! All it did was stay silent.

I kept on moving around searching for my partner.

I noticed that suddenly my bracelet was beeping but quietly.

I followed the way where the beep got the loudest.

When the bracelet started beeping really loudly, I looked around for my partner.

Suddenly, my bracelet's light died down and it was just white.

I looked around and saw.......

Jack!

He smiled at me while I just grimaced.

Then, I realized we had to dance the last dance together. My grimace just got bigger.

Jack smiled widely at me wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

Ugh.

Suddenly, Grace started speaking on the microphone again. She said, "Everyone! If you guys have found your partner quickly get on the dance floor and if you didn't find your partner then find your partner quickly! The last dance starts in less than 3 minutes!!"

I started freaking out because I did not want to dance with Jack.

He was coming near me still wiggling his eyebrows and winking. I don't even know how he did both of that at the same time.

I was looking everywhere to avoid him.

I noticed Grayson standing by the side looking bored. I looked at his wrist and he didn't have a bracelet on.

He looked over and our eyes locked. He noticed Jack next to me wanting to lead me to the dance floor.

I practically begged Grayson with my eyes screaming to save me.

He looked super amused. His bored expression was gone and it was replaced with an amused look.

Ugh. Still I do not want to dance with Jack. I kept on begging him with my eyes pleading him to come and save me. He just smirked at me.

The nerve of him!

I tried to find someone else to save me when Jack started pulling me to the dance floor.

Suddenly, someone caught Jack by his shoulder and turned him around, taking Jack's hand off my back.

This person said, "Jack. This is my girlfriend that you are trying to take to the dance floor. I would want you to leave us alone."

Jack flushed red and said, "Well, I didn't know you had a girlfriend, Grayson."

It was Grayson!! So he wasn't so heartless.

Grayson said, "Well I do now. So excuse us."

Grayson held onto my hand and led us towards the dance floor. He was about to turn and leave when the dance started.

Everyone was blocking him from leaving and he just sighed.

We were in the middle of the dance floor and we couldn't just stand there.

I said, "Haha. Should we dance..?"

He glared at me and said, "This is what I get for saving you."

I smiled sweetly at him and was about to hit him when someone bumped me into Grayson's arms.

My face was staring at his chest and I was probably blushing again.

Suddenly, Grayson's arm came around my waist and we started swaying to the music.
