As soon as the omega passed his room doorstep, he plopped down on his bed, shivering as the glacial breeze traversed through the window left open and crawled its way on his back. According to the fact that the village was located by the mountains, it was no surprise that the temperature dropped from a few degrees compared to their previous location. He got used to the rude climate along the years, thus it didn't really bother him anymore. Plus, as a fire user, he had the ability of heightening his body temperature at will, but the process required lots of energy. Currently exhausted from his foregoing escapade, the boy had absolutely none left within himself to do so at the moment though. He pulled the sleeves of his sweater to its full length and curled up in his comforter, blowing on his hands in an attempt to warm them up. After a few minutes of trying in vain, he heaved a breath and jumped out of his bed, not without a groan, to close the damn window before tucking himself back in. A smile cemented on his face as his mind wandered to his mates. Tobio still had such mesmerising navy-blue eyes, yet his gaze was more piercing than before. Kei still harboured his blonde curls, but they looked a shade lighter than when they were younger, and he wore them a bit shorter. Finally, Tadashi's freckles seemed to have grown a numerous amount on his cheeks and Hinata could swear he had seen some on his shoulders as well, which just added up to his charm. Even though he only caught a glimpse from afar, the omega could tell that despite the physical changes due to the affirmation of their alphan traits, the three still had a heart of gold on the inside. Contented with the earlier turn of events, the boy let his eyelids flutter closed as the fatigue finally caught up to him.

The small child scooped in the woman's arms could feel her chest heaving up and down under the effort. She was heavily panting yet maintained a steady pace. A soft smile graced her features upon seeing the outlines of a familiar clearing.

"We're almost there, sunshine."

Halfway awake, the little boy acknowledged her words with a small nod. She caressed his orange curls in a tender manner in response. She finally halted her mad dash in front of a big gateway and walked through it, immediately meeting face to face with a group of strange individuals, who all displayed animal characteristics. Stopping them from attacking the newcomers by a hand gesture, a tall figure appeared with an unreadable expression. The ginger woman bowed her head in respect, throat tightening with emotion as tears welled up in her eyes. The man approached her and stroked her arm in a comforting way. They've took all precautions in case something like that would happen but it was still deafening. After all, the simple fact that she was here was enough proof to guess that the Fire tribe village had been burned down to ashes.

"Hanabi Hinata, Shoyo Hinata, welcome to your new home."

Shoyo's screams reverberated through the room as memories of that night flashed through his head. Feeling his heart hammering in his chest, a new set of tears flowed freely on his rosy cheeks and dampened his pillow. Another set of sobs wracked his frail body as he inhaled and exhaled sharply. All in all, it was just another haunted and sleepless night of reminiscing the past.
