Some Catching Up to Do

If you didn't think that was a huge game changer, I don't know what would be. My Xyla. The Xyla that showed up at the Burrow with no recollection of her past and her family.

"Mom? Dad? How are you even here right now?" Xyla exclaimed, her eyes growing wider and wider as she stared at the couple in front of us.

Her mom reached out to touch her daughter's face, to feel her breathing again, and just as soon as she did, tears began rolling down her face. "I never wanted this to happen."

"What...what are you talking about?"

After a few moments of awkward stares and tears and shit, I decided to take my place in the conversation. "I think what Xyla, this wonderful, beautiful specimen right here is trying to say is, 'What the fuck is happening right now?'"

My friend gave me a disapproving look and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Oh, Anabelle Lestrange, how nice it is to finally meet you," Xyla's father said, finally breaking the ice.

I bit my tongue to keep from yelling at him, wanting to tell him to not call me that. I'm a Weasley now.

"How do you know Anabelle, Daddy?" Xyla asked, her eyes still watering up.

Her parents both looked away, full of regret and sorrow. They didn't say anything, just stared at each other, thinking of how to tell their daughter what a monster they worked for.

I decided to tell her the truth. "They worked closely with Voldemort."

Xyla's eyes got wide and her hands started shaking. All her parents could do was stare at their daughter without saying a thing.

But nobody makes my best friend cry and gets away with it. "Explain. Everything," I said through my teeth, pissed about having to watch this. I could feel my skin burn under my clothes but not enough for anyone to notice anything.

"No, Xy, I know you have a lot of questions," her mom started.

"Damn right we have a lot of questions. Like why the hell haven't you written your daughter? Did you guys just dump her at the Burrow and expect her to find her way in this world alone? She needs parents!" Once I started yelling, I couldn't stop. I felt every single feeling that Xyla was feeling in this moment, all at once, but more anger than anything.

"Ana, calm down please," Xyla said. She sighed and took a sip of her coffee. "I already knew. I remember everything now."

I was still heated. "And you just now decide to remember everything after I say one sentence?"

She shrugged and put her head in her hands.

"Answer my questions."

Xyla's dad held out his hand. "Before we start, let us introduce ourselves. I'm Ronald, and this is Charlotte." I ignored their hand shakes. Ronald sighed and put his hand back in his lap. "No we didn't just dump her at the Burrow. We had no idea what was happening until it happened. We had no say in it. Voldemort found out we had a daughter close to your and Harry's age and used it to his advantage. They stole her in the middle of the night, erased her memories, and placed her at the Burrow, knowing you would find her. She was set as a spy. They watched her every move so Voldemort knew exactly where you guys were at every given moment."

This just added on to my anger. "Why did you wait almost a year to get in touch with her?"

Another sigh came from Charlotte. "We didn't want to.  But we had to make absolutely sure that she wouldn't be in danger anymore. There are people that are still serving the Dark Lord and if they found out we're going against him, even though he's dead, Xyla would be killed, along with us."

"And that leads into our next conversation: Anabelle. You are in serious danger," Ronald said, a look of fear in his eyes.

There was a long pause, Xyla's eyes watering as she stared at me. All I could think to do was laugh.

I laughed hard for a long time, confused looks staring at me. "It's so awesome knowing we fought in a huge war only to be in danger STILL." Laugh. "Hilarious to think about, if you ask me."

They were stone faced.

"Okay, fine. Explain."

"Something happened. Right after the Battle at Hogwarts. I don't know if someone changed the way the past happened, like with a Time-Turner, but people are disappearing," Charlotte explained.

"Where are the Malfoys?" I asked.

"No one knows. Draco is still here but no one knows where Lucius and Narcissa disappeared to."

"And what's worse, when someone disappears, another person appears," Ronald finished off.

Gulp.

"Ana. Bellatrix is back."

A/N: I'm so sorry that it took 2 years. Here we go. Let me know if you like this input. I kinda planned this from the beginning.
