Xyla tugged hard on my hard and pulled me out of the store, an angry look on her face.
"Xyla..." I started.
She stopped walking once she reached the sidewalk and sighed. "The things I do for you." She laughed as if it were a joke.
I looked down at the ground. "We shouldn't do this."
Xyla's eyes shot at me quickly. "Is Anabelle Tobias scared?" A deadly smirk was written across her face, but it wasn't the same as it used to be. She would say things like this and I would say no. But now I wasn't so sure if I was as strong as I used to be.
I grabbed onto her arm and we walked together towards the Leaky Cauldron.
Once we walked in through the door, I was struck with the same pungent smell that I was very used to, after many years of coming to Diagon Alley for school supplies and various necessities. Xyla and I stood around for awhile, but nobody looked our way as we walked into the pub. Nobody stood out or gave us glances, telling us that they recognized us. We took a seat in a corner where barely any light was showing and nobody was sat.
Xyla ordered us coffee only, since I was not allowed to drink. I didn't know her excuse though.
"What did you tell them to get out?" I asked them, a small smile curving at the corners of my mouth.
"I told them I needed tampons and George yelled at me." She took a sip of her coffee without making eye contact with me.
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why would he yell at you for that?"
"Because he knew I was lying." She sighed into her drink, making the heat flow around her face.
"I-." My eyes widened. "Holy shit. Xyla."
She smiled a little bit and finally looked me in the eyes. "6 weeks."
Before I could get excited about the subject, the door slammed up and I shot my head to look at who was entering. In walked two people, a couple, most likely. A man, who was very stocky, wearing all black and his black hair in a long pony tail. The woman was small and skinny, also wearing all black, but instead of black hair, she had short fire-like hair in a pixie cut. Their eyes scanned the room in it's entirety and the woman's was the first to land on me. She then looked at Xyla, and tears filled in her eyes.
"Xyla!" The woman was from the door to my best friend so fast that I had to do a double-take. She enveloped Xyla in her arms and began rocking her back and forth, tears starting to stream down her face. "I thought you were dead."
Xyla's eyes widened. "Mom?!"
